Great photos! That last shot in front of the garage looks incredible, and has solidified my love for the new grille.

The loss of the CD player makes me oddly sad. I listened to all of TWO CD's in my M2C but it still makes me oddly sad.

Edit - I still BUY CD's, but they immediately get ripped to FLAC and ALAC.

It makes me sad because I still have tons of CD's. Like you, I haven't listened to one in awhile, but I like having the option.

This is unfortunate.
Who buys a M3 or M4 for mileage? Bigger tank would increase weight.

PPF on Wheel Arches?

Hi, can I ask is there any PPF on the M3/M4 wheel arches at the rear to protect from stone chips? Thanks.

Not sure if it's actually standard or if my dealer just happened to do it but mine came with ppf on the arches.

My dealer mentioned it's that way from the factory and mine has it

I'll have mine taken off just like I did with my F8X's.

Don't fill it up if you don't want the weight. I'd like the cruising range so i'm not at the gas station so often.

Also, this will suck at the track as you get to pay track gas prices instead of being able to last a day on one tank.

Besides, most of the excess weight in these cars is around the driver's belly.

Carbon Shifter Paddles

Hi, I have noticed in some of the YT videos that some cars have the carbon paddles and some appear to have metal ones? Is that the case for some countries and not others? Seems strange.

I think you have to choose the carbon interior to get the paddles

You get them with carbon interior package.

For those who have the base manual. Do you get MDM without selecting the M drive professional?

it might be placebo for me, but I think playing spotify off of the app sounds a bit better than android auto. I wonder if wireless android auto is going off bluetooth connection for music, while the app uses spotify connect which i know is wifi based.

and i imagine if you bring your own high quality files to play via USB its gonna sound good too. But I wouldn't know given I only use Spotify and download off youtube for special remixes

Yes, but not the 10-stage traction control (that's tied to M Drive Prof). MDM works like it always did in previous M-cars...press the traction control button once or set it in one of the M1/M2 setups.

I assume the coding folks will figure out what parameter to change to get a more reasonable MDM setting than what's probably an over conservative limit in the US on the amount of slip/yaw/fun.

I actually do wonder if one of the stages in the 10-step traction would equal MDM mode, or if there's less control than MDM provides due to having to turn DSC completely off to get into the M traction control settings. Possible the need to turn DSC off is just for the disclaimer to put up so you could acknowledge you're about to play stupid games.
