Same here. I've been at Bremerhaven exactly one week today. Genius agent this morning said it's waiting on the RAM, which implies BMW is installing it there vs. shipping it Stateside and remedying the stop sale at the U.S. VPC. (Maybe they're running out of parking space at U.S. ports.)

Anyone else whose M3/M4 was built within the last couple weeks being told the same?

Today is one week for me at the Bremerhaven and I was told by my CA similar thing about waiting at the port to get RAM issue resolved.

Interesting that you and others are starting to be told this. I'm in week 3 sitting at Bremerhaven. Everything I've been told for a few weeks (as recently as yesterday) is that I'm just waiting for a spot on a boat, and that the RAM will be fixed at NJ VPC.

I have to admit, it would be less frustrating to wait at the port of departure, if I knew the wait now was instead of the wait in NJ. But somehow I think there will be a wait on both sides of the pond...

Last night the two stop sales cleared and today the SA call to let me know the car is on its way to the dealer! She call on her day off, that's cool!

Thursday or Friday can't get here fast enough.

I have both audio and camera stop sales on my M3C '22. I got to Bremerhaven and got on a boat in like 3 days. Car will be in US port 10/16. I am doing PCD and my SA stated my port will be Charleston.
So far both stop sales are still active on my car.

Realistically, I agree with you. Given I’m doing PCD, there are three waits: departure port, VPC for RAM, and PCD scheduling. Assuming at least a couple weeks more for each, plus 2-3 weeks for the voyage to Charleston, November delivery is looking out of the question.

I wonder if snow tires qualify as checked baggage for my flight to Greenville ..

I have no idea. I don't know anything at this point other than me checking mybmw and still seeing that annoying status, "at the port".

Once i see in transit, i can at least have peace of mind. Because at least i know it's on the move and i can stop worrying and stop checking the site for about 3 weeks until it lands in the states.

But it's stuck in bremerhaven right now, since october 5. I know not nearly as long as most people here who has been waiting weeks or even months but still.

The car is done, do i really need that RAM? I can just drive the car without music for now, then just bring the car back to the dealer when they get some modules in stock

I was just commenting earlier on the bearing stop sale thread about how crazy it is that everyone's experience is so different. Some stuck at the port due to the RAM issue, yet some like me where their cars sailed away with the issue to be resolved at their destination. Also there's some that have the bearing stop sale, yet mine was within the production date of that issue and wasn't affected (supposedly). There's some dealerships saying it'll be a while for the RAM fix, yet mine said it won't delay things much. It's like 🤯

I'm just going to make believe I decided to order the car today 😆

Either your SA or Genius should be able to look that up for you. My SA emailed me with the info the morning he had it.

Just found out I'm also on the Azul Ace.

BMW customer service line also said, which surprised me, that they don't have access to the technical items/recalls etc., and that I would need to contact my dealer to get any information about whether the main bearing issue does, or doesn't, apply to my order. Seemed like an odd response, for the line that's supposedly more informed than the Genius line.

That is weird. BMW customer relations is the one that told me about my RAM and camera stop sales

The manager at my dealership reached out to the port at Baltimore about the RAM sales. They have modules available (not sure how many) and are doing 25-30 vehicles per day.

they just told me that me that they couldnt see anything related to a stop sale/recall on mine when i called, earlier. sounds like theyve been told not to say anything after the panic about the bearing shell...

I think all the Genii (that's a word, trust me) have different rules - I was told that I had a stop sale, and they had all kinds of juicy deets on it, but the type and any further details were a secret they couldn't tell me. So...I feel like what they're willing to tell us runs the gamut.

Interesting… I wonder what their backlog is… 1 transport ship has many thousands of cars and I have to believe that a significant number would be impacted.

Yup. Called my SA and he said the same thing. Car is already on the ship and ETA is oct 22.

I also used the tool in the other thread and i checked my vin and it said, "no recall" when last week i had a RAM recall. So maybe my RAM issue was fixed at the port before it left the ship?

If so, how much longer once it arrives in NJ? 2-3 weeks after 10/22?

Now i'm happy again LOL

No Recall = Issue is not a recall, but missing part or similar.
Check status - if it's Open it's still not fixed.
