Mesh grill and oil cooler guards?

Hi Guys,
The G80 M3 incoming will be new to me. I drive a mix of surface streets and highways in Las Vegas, which are in very good repair. I almost never drive on broken or gravely roads, and pretty carful when parking to avoid bump stops (I back in when I can). I see some folks on this forum that install mesh grill guards and metal oil cooler guards (ROCK GUARDS) on their cars. Is this something that I should consider even though I drive good city roads? Thanks

Yes, there's no downsides only upsides.

I recommend getting an oil cooler guard. There’s plenty of discussion on here. On Porsches, the large exposed air inlets are dealer revenue generators.

If you read up on a couple of the oil cooler guard threads, you'll see some members have experienced a punctured oil cooler and the associated damage. So installing one of the oil cooler guard options is a preventative measure to a vulnerable area.
