Today I discovered that I could map Logic 7 Surround to a shortcut in ID8.

I just do what u prob do. Hit the list on the steering wheel and click up/down the number of clicks I memorized. I removed the things I don't use via the display>hud settings. Like g force, drive mode settings and most other things. So clicks up/down are minimal. I'm mostly on BC, tires & nav... so far. Got my g80 (M3 comp) last week so still driving ANYWHERE to get to 1k miles. Need a ride?

Boring 1….but the mileage counter resets automatically after filling up. Had to do it manually in the previous M4

Been looking for mine… and now wondering if I have something more basic than the Hk. Anyone know if they made that something I had to add for 2023? I know wireless charging was, and I wasn’t informed of it when they told me my model year switched.

Never mind, just watched someone’s YouTube video, my sound settings have none of those features, so I apparently have the base sound system. Would have loved to know that before I answered surveys

There's a menu in there were you can config the behavior, you're not locked in to that option.

New to all of this, just got my M3 a week ago, coming from an IS (Toyota tech has basically no customization or options). Did you use Bimmercode to do this, or what should I look into for these types of custom options?

Yes, BimmerCode and you’ll use expert mode. There’s a video, I think in this thread somewhere, that shows exactly how to do it. Really easy - you’ll have it done in ten mins.

I think it's standard in the US but optional in other regions, like here in Canada it's part of the premium package. Car comes with standard hi-fi system.

If you are in the Apple CarPlay screen and hold down the “Media” button, a pop-up menu appears so you can select what mode to choose! I love this because pressing media doesn’t exit CarPlay, so you have to go the the Home Screen and then go to Media or set it as a memory button.

Others have probably already noticed this, but if you have an open door, the ambient lighting on that door flashes red. Small detail but I found it was pretty cool.

I always find my eyes scanning the road and predicting other driver behavior (and planning my own course of action if they do something unexpected) when I’m pushing the car that hard, and never mentally register the shift lights. Shift purely by sound and feel.

I only register the HUD again when my mind exits the “adrenaline” zone from extreme acceleration and focus. And then think to myself, I would have been nice to look at the hockey stick. Never happens.

Same happened to me, after two track days I put it reduced mode and never missed it when I switched to the 718 mid-summer.

Maybe you just missed the email? It came separately. I didn’t even see it until I went back into my email, looking for a receipt from a transaction, to check a shipping date. Maybe you have it?

I’m sure I don’t qualify for that kind of status. I was a one and done purchase from Mike. But, I’d definitely order again at some point.
