The post above reminds me of how Harris used to complain about how crappy Ferraris were until they finally let him back in the club.
The resolution here is that nobody should take this clown seriously. He's an inconsistent car journalist that has a really poor grasp of the market. He complained non stop in the original G80 review about the M3's transmission being a ZF8 torque converter, but go watch his Giulia Quad review and watch him gush over the same box. Try to figure out which M3 is his favorite. It changes monthly depending on his audience. Bleh. |

Lost interest in Chris a while back - his commentary is just not engaging enough. The only two media personalities in the auto world that I like are Clarkson and Harry Metcalfe.

I’m sorry, but to be in the discussion of the greatest all rounder a car cannot be this ugly.

All I read was his opinion & your lame response. Don’t get all testy buddy. It’s just an automotive forum, it’ll be ok. |

So let’s get this straight. I commented on your post, you got butthurt, then you decided to click on my profile and find that I made a post about a Mazda on a different thread, and then decided to come back on this thread and comment saying “enjoy your Mazda” as if it’s an insult.
Lol. Ridiculous. FYI not that it matters, but I own 5 cars, three of which are BMWs. Btw Mazdas are great, you should buy one if you can afford it someday. |

Elitist opinion: in markets where this exists there's literally zero reason to choose an X3M over it if you're a legit enthusiast.

Bro you know nothing about other peoples' financial situation or obligations. Where I live there are plenty of people driving hot cars yet have no savings or live with roommates. And somehow valuing somebody's opinion less over something so menial is immature af.

The way Chris Harris can make a car dance on the track is mind blowing. The amount of effortless control & precision he has entering / exiting each corner is like fine art. This estate car / wagon makes me want an IOM G80 or G81 M3 even more!

Agreed. This forum would be better without the venom. Immature af. Harris is entitled to his opinion, and to change that opinion. In this case, he focused on performance and ignored the front end design. Sheesh some owners in here are touchy!

chris Harris sells reviews.
he appeases certain car companies so they keep giving him free cars. for him—you, the audience, are consumers who keep his business flowing. stop putting so much importance on reviews.

He's finally come around and admitted the G8x is better than the F8x and didn't make any comments regarding the looks so I don't have an issue. He pretty well says the G8x and M5 CS is about as good as it gets for sedans from any automaker which is more important than subjective opinion on looks. As much grief as BMW gets from the old guard, it's pretty evident they are killing it by building the best modern sports sedans you can buy today.

His comments are technical based only. He does not touch the design subject which probably reiterates his initial opinion. He actually makes a very diplomatic comment about the dash screen... |
