Just had it installed, fitment was good and seamlessly attached to my VT midpipe. Sounds better than most G8x setups too, will post sound clips once I get a few. 2 things bothering me were the left exhaust tips being closer to one another compared to the right side and I tried adjusting but it was the pipes. This is something minor which you can barely notice, so I don’t really care since the rest of the exhaust is nice. The last minor thing that does bother me is that 2 of my exhaust tips already have fading on the Dinan logo on them for which I hope I can a replacement from Dinan for. Otherwise, I’m happy.

The lack of gap on the left side compared to right would drive me absolutely bonkers.

After driving home, I think due to the heat the gaps were pretty even and not noticeable. I’m usually a very high OCD person, but it personally doesn’t bother me since you really have to look to even notice it. I just need 2 replacement tips sent to me since the fading of the lettering is really bothering me.

Thanks for sharing. This exhaust is still at the top of my list.

Are you at all bothered by the exhaust valves visible from behind the car? I’ve noticed this on a couple different systems. Wish it was further upstream so they’re not visible.

Not at all, most people find it cool whenever they’re behind.

Anyone have video yet, of this paired with a mid pipe (no secondary cats).

Awesome, thanks for sharing this! Sounds really good! I'd be pairing this with a Supersprint resonated single mid pipe.

This is somewhat disappointing as I really had this exhaust top of my list.

But to confirm, the gap between the left and right was resolved after some heat was put into the system from driving?

After having the axle back paired to my midpipe for a week and taking her out for a nice drive over the weekend, here are my thoughts. Sorry no videos as I was solo.

It has a nice deep tone, deeper than the TFL I had and it’s not raspy. Low speed acceleration is a bit loud but not obnoxious. There is drone but that’ll always be the case if you delete the cats. While cruising in comfort at 1800rpm or 65-70 it’s there but anything past that is minimal. Drone is subjective though and to me it’s not bad at all. With the windows rolled up, the cabin is pretty quiet which I like. You can hold a normal conversation without having to raising your voice.

As for build quality I didn’t have any issues and welds look great as expected from Dinan. The valve controller is mounted fairly close to the tips and you can see it from behind but I kinda like it to be honest. Silver tips have grown on me and glad I went that route. It breaks up all the black in the rear

Overall I’m happy and glad there’s more options out there now. Especially like the option to piece different parts together. Price point is attractive too and a full system can be had for a little over 3k is great!

Curious about how you managed your valve cables and how low do your inlet pipes sit. I ended up drilling a hole in my head shield and zip tied the wires to the shield.

I did drill two holes on each side and then removed parts of the heat shield. Tucked the wires behind it and zip tied them down through the holes. It’s pretty much out of the way at that point.

The inlet pipe hangs low but it’s still a bit above the diff so I’m not too worried. You definitely can see it if you’re looking from behind. When first fitting everything I noticed that too but once everything was tighten it looked ok.

Gotcha, just checked mine and it’s also a bit above the diff. One thing I did that’s different from the instructions is the orientation of the clamps connecting the tips is opposite for ease of access. I don’t know how orientation of the clamps could affect anything and why it was stated to follow a certain orientation.

Yea I ran into that issue also. The outer tips were impossible to tighten if the bolts were facing outwards. We dropped the exhaust a bit and had to hold it while another tightened the bolts. Probably would’ve been easier to go with your route lol

Appreciate all the input from everyone that has installed it. I have one showing up tomorrow (being paired with my already-installed Supersprint single mid pipe). I'm expecting a little drone, but hoping the resonator in my mid pipe might help a little.

Please post up some clips and let us know what you think. I’m stock now cause I cannot make up my mind. but am torn between dinan and the awe switchpath with their mid pipe. Just don’t want drone or rasp.

Post some pics when installed, interested to see how low your inlet pipes hang compared to mine since I believe I might may need to readjust mine. (Right one looks lower than left for some reason)

I’m getting back under the car tomorrow, so I’ll snap some pictures. But from behind the car, they don’t seem to sit too low. Looks like your might just need the clamps loosened and realigned.

Quick review; exhaust looks really good. Really spices up the rear. Install was easy like most exhaust work, but aligning the tips was a bit time consuming.

Only thing I’m not thrilled about is that the valve springs might need some tweaking. In comfort (valves closed), the left valve does not close 100%, so there’s some bypassing fluttering noises. Amplified during cold start. Otherwise, exhaust in sport+ sounds absolutely epic. No drives yet, but even with just revving, it’s a great sound.
