Went to FoS today and had a sit in and look around.

Not going to win any awards but here are some phone photos.

Just to chime in on the looks…..

I was at Goodwood and spent some time taking in the views on this car. I'm an ex F22 M240i owner and currently own an M2C F87.

Seeing the same pictures as everyone else I too was sceptical, but I must say, seeing it in person has changed my opinion.

I'd say give it a chance.

The purple color does a lot of heavy lifting.
The overall proportions are good, given what bmw put out lately is a relief.

The white one doesn't look nice.
From the side looks good, specially the rear.
The rear rear doesn't. Car has an ugly butt.

It could have been a lot worse. It should be a lot better.

I don't hate it like the 4 or the M3/4

Seems to me that you're the one drinking the kool-aid, hating on a great looking car with clean lines just because it's become popular to hate on modern BMWs.

These are the wheels with the 245 section width front tires, the wider front rubber looks good compared to the 225s on the rest of the G2X chassis variants

Thank goodness there is no convertible or my daughter would have me down there tomorrow ordering it in purple. Let's hope the m4 convertible isn't available in purple any time soon

Worthy styling evolution from the M2C. When the G42 comes out as M2C it will be hot and might cut into M4C sales.

Maybe it will grow on me. And maybe the G87 version will make it look a lot better too. But at the moment, I can't say I like it.

M2 with wider hips and nice concave wheels will look good. This car also needs a nice aftermarket front lip.

The 2 series is getting bigger and bigger from here on

What engine does it have? A B58 variant?

In this case a German engineered and Mexican manufactured car. That said, the plant is modern and producing cars of very high quality. Others have commented that they wouldn't buy a Mexican made car. I disagree with that perspective. I just won't buy a 2 without a manual trans. I don't care which plant manufactures it.

YEP exactly. Those were aweful until it got cleaned up.

I find these tail lights far less hideous at inception essentially, than when the F22 was revealed.
