I have been using single midpipes on my cars for years, even with the older M4 chassis. Never experienced any power loss from this upgrade.

It's always my first mod. From there I usually decide if the car needs anything else to hit my goals.

Hey Pat_04 and adam12hicks was wondering if someone can provide any videos or feedback on Dinan Mid pipe. Trying to decide if I should do that or just do single pipe ?

Sadly videos don’t properly reflect the lower tone and sound of the midpipe. And midpipe alone is only a piece of the puzzle. You REALLY want midpipe with valve controller. Honestly there’s no way you won’t like it. It’s low, rumbly, zero titanium tin can sound or boy racer raspiness. It just sounds badass. And being able to press a button to close the valves and quiet it down is perfect.

100% worth the investment. I’m sure other resonator delete mid-pipes will be similar, and there is a slight difference in sound with equal lengths, but for the money the Dinan is a very nice and quality built piece of kit.

I got it with the IRL Valve Controller. I love it man but just want a bit more noise so I'm probably going to end up getting the full valvetronic(stainless steel)with catted downpipe but as of now it does sound nice for sure, spot on

Agree midpipe + valve controller is the hot ticket. Added an AA EL midpipe last week with the previously installed Dahler and its an awesome controllable setup.

I’d be cautious with the equal length mid pipes. I had an ER and it was an excellent quality mid pipe. That said, the rasp was horrendous. Especially on cold start. It would wake the whole neighborhood. I wound up buying a Dinan axle back which helped. If I decide to put a mid pipe on my new car it will likely be an AA single mid.

The ER design is not an equal length; it's a dual pipe.
the only true equal length on the market is the active autowerke

if your goal is the cleanest sound, you are correct that the best choice is the single midpipe

Newbie question, would cutting the pipes to install the midpipes pose a problem in the future? Its all welded from the factory and wondering about the issues with cutting them esp if u r living in cold climates with the snow and salt. Also mid pipes should be able to pass state inspection right?

No, BMW actually put oem cut point dimples which we also use as our cut points for the midpipe. They use these cutpoints when replacing mufflers and installing m performance parts. They also use the same style clamps so returning the car one day with clamps will be no issue at all.

Speak to Daniel @ https://www.milwaukeemotorwerks.com/contato-1

Our midpipe is a very easy process. Two cuts at the middle dimple line and bolt up the new midpipe.
