nice work overall, The grills look just a bit wide here like they have been taken from the out of perspective shots directly but the bumper, lights and intakes have been corrected

ACC will go behind the left grill, you can see it in the uncovered real 4 series leak (not rendering or with camo). BMW has set it up so the grill design goes right over it so it blends in behind the grill. I would expect the same for the M

Yup, I'm intrigued... hope this starts to calm some of the naysayers. Exciting!

The shape/taper of the taillights in the render seems WAY off compared to the actual rear photo (though I like the render better)

I agree, as a manual transmission fan, there is no other car like this. Four doors and a manual outside of the hot-hatch world is non-existent for a performance car. Many enthusiasts across multiple brands will buy this car as a family hauler / practical car / that is a great all-rounder / with performance and driving dynamics as part of the package. If you appreciate a manual this car is in a class by itself.

I would. I would trade a car that's worth maybe $8k for one that's valued at what, 10x that?

Doesn't mean I have to keep it or drive it every day. I also don't see the relevance.

I'm strongly considering jumping into a Melbourne Red F82 but I'm still holding out hope until the summer...

For those generalizing, stating the hate is nostalgia are dismissing honest feedback based on their preferences. I LOVED the F8X platform when it first dropped. Could not wait to own one. I also loved the e92 platform when that was first revealed. This new iteration is just hideous and the rear end looks cheap.

Hopefully the aftermarket will filter out some of the ugly. A few small tweaks and it doesn't look that bad (excuse the shit MS paint attempt at visualizing what could be with a little help from the gents at IND).

The ACC is actually painted to match the grill pattern.

The model in the image is the M3, (you can clearly see the 4 doors). It will have the 3ers taillights. The render is the M4, it will have the same taillights as the 4er.

Yep - I have said the same thing. I don't mind the switch to the vertically inclined grills...it's just that the size doesn't flow with the rest of the car.

20-25% smaller could have looked really nice, and different, and a nod to the past all at once.

I've said it before and I'll say it now: I got to the point where I'm more and more worried about the rear than the front. Still not saying that I love the big grill, but it could work somehow, while I'm not sure about the recent rear designs of BMW to be honest.

Forgetting the dollars for a second, this thing looks like a super car to me. I am one of the few that has loved it from the very start and the fact that I can get it in manual just makes it all the more amazing.

Things changed a lot! I think it looks very aggressive and different in a good way than the previous and would I think that F80 was more like regular 3 and 4 series but wider and lower, it needed the M performance parts to make it worth the extra money at least in term of looks in comparison with the 3 and 4 series!
This new generation, you can tell that the diffusor was designed so we install the M performance Diffusor with CF on it! remember that stupid and plain diffusor we had or have on our current cars.

I am quite biased toward BMW as I love them all, but let's be honest, this is absolutely hideous.

I have no doubt though that many of us will force ourselves to like it.

If you genuinely do like it, I am actually envious of you.
