Just got off the phone with Genius. They said it's been assigned a carrier leaving Friday night and scheduled to arrive Saturday

Yup. Put a nail in my coffin. No birthday surprise or guaranteed rate lock for me. He said my car is at the port and that's it. They didn't even put a work order on it yet. So he can't say when but guesses some time next week.

So this is tentative and makes some assumptions at the end but after talking to the Genius my car will arrive September 5th, 2022. That would make my ordering process look like this:

Build Bank Entrance: March 25th, 2022
Allocation received: May 24th, 2022
Total Time from Deposit to Allocation Received:
61 Days

Production number assigned: May 27th, 2022
Assembly begins: June 21st, 2022
Assembly completed: June 23rd, 2022
Total Time from Production Number Received to Assembly Completed:
27 Days

Awaiting Carrier Assignment: June 24th, 2022
At Port: July 27th, 2022
Total Time waiting for the Train to Bremerhaven:
33 Days

Arrived at Port: July 27th, 2022
Departed Port: August 11th, 2022
Total Time at Port:
16 Days

Departed Port: August 11th , 2022
Arrived NY/NJ Port: August 28th, 2022
Total time at sea:
17 Days

NY/NJ Port to VPC: August 29th, 2022
Carrier Assigned: August 31st, 2022

Which when you look at it like this, it does not seem bad. Going through it however, felt like a year.

We will see if Sept. 5th holds true. I am thinking more like Wednesday the 7th just based on car prep etc. We will also see if the car is and has what it is supposed to have. I waited a long time but I will not hesitate to deny it and wait again if something is not right.

Did you order 50th anniversary emblems? I opted for the standard emblems but the car came with the 50th. I'm not sure whether to keep them or not. Look pretty good after seeing the photos.

Same here. Luckily my CA will swap them out free of charge if need be. Might test drive them for a bit. Also, my wife wants me to keep them lol.

Just got a text from my sales guy and the cars in transit. He told me it might be here as early as Saturday. The app says it's in transit too. I wonder why it's gonna take so long if it's already on a truck. Either way really excited now

I've reached out to all who are interested and so far everyone responded back.

I'm thinking one Sunday in late September or early October. Probably around 10am. Not too early and you can still enjoy the day to watch the Cowboys beat on the Giants, Eagles, whoever.
