Is there any attraction control I can press so I get more chicks with this car? or I need a Lambo or a Ferrari for that?

My suggestion would be to follow what those guys said but also find your local BMW CCA or Porsche Club of America Car Control School. I would assume that one of those two chapters would have it in Atlanta. I'd say do Street Survival but you have to be under 21 to do that. Ask around, there will be an event to join.

This is not a full track day. This is a low speed event focusing on driver and vehicle dynamics basics such as where to look, how to smoothly turn the vehicle, emergency maneuvers, and small autocross. You'll learn what the car feels like on the limit in a safe environment and learn not to be scared of it....and when to actually be scared. Ask around in both those groups or in the regional forum here and see what you can find. For instance, this is the program I had my son do. I did it with him and it was great.

Awesome info, thank you for your advice.

I'd add the only time you'd want to disable traction control fully is if you are stuck in the snow.

Fellow ATLien here. You'll be fine except for the one week that all hell freezes and everything is iced over. Even then driving the car normally was fine. I'd say just make sure your tires are warm before any spirited driving. The RWD G80 has excellent handling to be honest but like any car, respect that it comes with its limits and learn those limits. Like everyone says keep traction control on or at minimum MDM on.

Drove turbo AWD for 10+ years and was concerned with switching to RWD g80. With traction control on its very stable and I drive all year round in rain and snow. Once you have tamed the beast, drive with dsc off and enjoy! (on dry roads with warm tires!)

You're saying that when you are stuck in the snow you turn on traction control? That doesn't make any sense to me. When you're stuck in the snow, you want the tires to spin as fast as possible.

I think "use it" in this context was "[use] the button to turn it off"

I will echo most what everyone else has here. The biggest saftey issue with these cars is the overconfidence it gives the driver. The danger is becoming laxidasical when driving.

I refer you to some personal experience - https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2049733

Safe travels to you!

Thank you sir, I am just new into this RWD thing and makes me feel much more confident that I just have to be careful but not terrorized about having bought a RWD.

There was a time when there was no FWD, AWD, TC, SC, ABS, etc. We survived.

Just received a used g82 m4 rwd 2 days ago. Went rwd mainly because I feel like maintenance will be slightly cheaper down the line. I have yet to floor it as I am nervous I won’t be able to handle what might happen. I do not plan on ever turning off DSC(until I finally get to do the M driving school thing). Was wondering if DSC will be reliable enough to keep me and my vehicle safe if I were to mash the gas for the first time. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Go to a open parking lot or a road with limited traffic and open without too many sidewalks or curbs and punch ot. You'll be surprised how much grip the car has. Start off at half throttle and work your way up.

Not even if I have my two car seats in the back that match my carbon buckets? Am I really doing it wrong?

+1

I often drive with DSC off. I’ve been surprised at the level of traction even in wet conditions. Because of the size and weight you almost have to provoke it to make it slide properly
