Reached out to my salesman yesterday AM in anticipation of the 6/10 allocation rumors here. Only news he had for me was that the person ahead of me who got their MY2022 allocation a few months back went from status 112 to 105 and got flipped to a MY2023 . I've been #1 at this dealer for 4 months now

I don't think that means you're not #1 though, that allocation was already given.

I understand. I was attempting to convey disappointment with the hype generated here for June 10 allocation drops only to be let down again lol

Fair! I placed it recently, so I am well behind and not in a rush anyway. Was told it could take a year to get a car but because they have the largest volume in the region (debatable) they get "a lot" of allocations for G80 per month and I'm hoping a few dropouts push me up. I didn't shop because they are giving me MSRP, but that's only because I am a repeat customer. My SA said they are charging ADM for first time customers. I suspect when my allocation finally comes, the car market could be in a much different place and I may have better choices, who knows where this economy is headed. For what its worth he told me they have no wait list for G82x…

A lot? They get 1 a month.

Sorry, but what is meant by "banks are open"? Can a dealership order a vehicle without waiting for an allocation?

Supposedly my dealership told me I'm first in line on the wait list for a MY2023 M3 Comp xDrive, but I assume nothing will happen unless they receive allocations from BMW.

You can ask for a VIR (vehicle inquiry report) which confirms that your order's been placed in the order bank. Without an allocation it'll likely show status 047 - Spec. released-no quota. This is my situation, status 047, no allocation so far.

Thats not going to happen. Order in dealer bank means nothing to the dealer or BMW.

I agree. When I met with my dealer to configure a MY23 , now in the order bank, I pushed to have them honour the price of the MY22 which was canceled due to the pending MY23 production start, that conversation went no where! Price increase for sure.

I agree. I originally placed an order early Nov 21, I'm pushing hard to have my "replacement" MY23 order priority over subsequent newer orders. No confirmation on this yet.

I am in same exact boat (ordered in Jan), my dealer said I will remain #1 on allocation list when it rolls over to MY23 but have not asked me to redo my build. I wonder if 22' builds roll automatically to 23'..
