Thank you!!! I also agree 100% that it compliments it. Some might fear it's too red but I think it works well. It's definitely sealed the deal for me versus silverstone. The only think I'm struggling with now are the wheels.

Guys. I found a very quick YT from a U.K. Toronto Red on Fiona.

I think it looks, very red but not at all clash like Sakir used to be.

Is it still a brave choice you think?

PS do the cars come with those awful XDrive badges?

Anyone with TR have the blue calipers? To me the traditional color of ///M calipers is blue and I was wondering if it looks OK with TR.

I picked blue calipers for the same reason.

Holy crap, that's red!

Weird; they don't include the xDrive badges in the US, nor anywhere else I thought? Maybe a mistake at the factory, or an overzealous technician at dealer prep?

I hope I'm that bold when I'm 71!

Actually I'm happy that they didn't include the XDrive badge on the car, I was planning to remove it if the car came with it... It makes it the perfect sleeper in my opinion. You will know that it is an XDrive pulling out the light like a storm

Yeah, I'm sure BMW omitted the badge for "sleeper" reasons. Everything about this car is subtle

Specially the front end ...I was only giving my opinion here ... but I'm sure BMW has a good reason in doing it ... with Germans every single action is justified

I honestly think they must be on for a prank. It's a U.K. car and I can confirm they definitely come without the X badges on the back and no U.K. car if any type I don't think has them on the wings?

I understand that some customers are asking to have the badgeing adding to their cars. But as standard, they do not get added to uk xdrive models.

Maybe its because they feel the badge ' M3' 'M4' says enough about the car that it doesnt need 'xdrive' or possibly they didnt want to create a visible third tier within the G8x range. (M3/M3Comp/M3Comp xdrive) or they simply didnt want M3C customers to feel like theyre driving a lesser model.

Im pretty sure they knew that the xdrive model was gonna be the most sought after ive no idea why they bothered with the RWD version other than to get it launched quickly.

To simply things even more, why wasnt xdrive fitted as standard to every G8x with a manual available to both Comp and non comp versions?!. There is literally 3 different performance levels within the one G8x lineup. Not great in my book.

I think non XDrive M3 and M4 ( Manual ) or Comp have been launched for BMW purist ( that probably track their cars and look for weight loss) ... It will be probably a 2021-22 limited production and they might stop them in the future. Specially with all the supply chain issues... they will find a way to stream down the offers. They will end up doing like MB and offering 4 Matic on all their performance cars.

I can kind of get it but the 50kg weight difference has little to no impact in reality on the G8x and being able to switch between RWD and Xdrive whenever the mood suits with a manual would tick many peoples boxes.

Ideally, id love to see a RWD V Xdrive set to RWD to see how they compare in performance terms.

My own is the M3C RWD and I love it as its all the performance I'll ever need but I can certainly see the plus for buying xdrive.

Stock vs stock they are heads up on roll until 137mph. then slowly RWD goes ahead but not by much.

But they don't compare the RWD M3 with the 4WD M3 in RWD mode, which is what Sunnystone was saying.
