Wow… so close to us here in queens too. Hope anyone involved is ok!
Mine is sitting at the port in Germany and seeing this makes me sad. Is the car really that powerful? Wonder if the drift analyzer has anything to do with these accidents. Could see it being a recipe for disaster in the wrong hands. |

The car is powerful but has very good traction even with a heavy foot. Who knows what happened there so best not to speculate and let's just hope everyone involved is ok |

Why buff it out? It's hardly noticeable.
Only buff if you have OCD!

Best investment is some driver training on track and then, if you want to push things, regular track days so you get to experience the car at or near the limit in a safer environment. |

However though. There's so many driver aids and plus torque management that all helps with helping the driver keep the car where it needs to go. I don't want to pass judgement but it's safe to say that that particular driver must have turned off the driver aids. I have a 700+hp corvette and there were a couple of years i drove through winter with the summer tires on. Although not when it was snowing, but after the roads were plowed, salted, then dried etc. I was able to manage to keep that monster on the road even if i wanted to play just a bit. The inexperience of that G80 driver plus whatever he turned off to help him probably contributed to that crash. Hope everyone is ok. |

This is my mantra as well. On forums dedicated to domestic performance cars that I have owned in the past, those guys tend to be very mod happy. When asked "what can I do to make the car faster" I always preach that the best money spent is on the driver, learning how to drive.

I realized when I first got my F80 the car behaved a certain way, once I had the break in service things seemed a bit calmer. After getting my first new set of tires, I realized it was just the newness of the tires that needed to have a couple hundred miles on them. The car just feels a little slippery and unpredictable on a brand new set, that may one reason people tend to crash new cars?
