lack of rear sunshade in G80
The lack of ear sunshade (rear window and doors) is annoying here in CA, especially with a baby in the back seat. Is there any other solution other than tinting? I saw some cheap shades on Amazon but will probably fall apart after few weeks. nothing on BMW accessory site....
thanks

Read the manual, the front kidneys detach and act as louvers for the entire rear of the car.
Now my gripe is why didn't it come with massaging seats, B&W stereo and thick pile carpeting! They are treating this car like a 1 series! |

My wife’s 2019 S5 Sportback has massaging seats (it’s a hatch so I wouldn’t expect a rear shade there) |

I've got 30% tint, but I'm thinking of going this route for now: https://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Bric...dp/B08C2B3KLC/ |

I'd rather have sunshades or heated rear seats than an electronic trunk closer on an M-car.
Sometimes, I wonder if the people making the decisions had too much schnapps and just started ticking the wrong boxes. |

I completely agree. The sunshades made a huge difference in hot parking lots and my babies all appreciated them. Definitely a worthwhile option for those who daily drive the M3. I'm guessing the take rate was too low to justify them.

As odd as at might seem at first, I’d reach out to a local RV/overlander shop to see if they could build something for you. This seems like something that they’d regularly fabricate.

If they made a manual trunk and a manual e-brake I would have been so happy. The latter being super important on a manual car. |

How else did you expect them to cut costs? We should be lucky we get such a deal on the G80, they're practically giving them away.
