No rasp/drone wanted- delete resonators or sec cat/resonator

I’ve got my car booked in a exhaust shop and still not sure whether to delete the resonators or the front resonator and secondary cats.

Those who say keep the second resonator because it’s an X-pipe, can you please explain in reality what the difference in sound is of keeping this?

I would just remove the 2 resonators. Where are those on the picture. It will cost you 250 to 400 bux.

So my friend removed both resonators and the secondary cat. He replaced with x pipe. The car has a lot of drone and very raspy especially paired with his catless downpipes. He ended up putting back on the secondary cats. I would just remove both resonators and see how u like it. I want to do things correctly (imho) so I'm going to be getting the AA single midpipe.

In the picture above, which are the 2 resonators. You can replace those with stainless piping and be done for cheap. Do you know if its 3" to match OEM?

Try the Dahler Calve controller. It opens the valves to allow for full muffler bypass.

Did he do a valve controller to open valves? I read that if you remove secondary cats and both resonators, it produces a drone. Leaving the second resonator and other messing with valve controller keeps it from droning. I'm sure cables down pipes don't help.

X3m comp here, but similar exhaust. I ended up removing resonators and secondary cats via er midpipe which I believe is still an H design, and also got active autowerke primary downpipes which feature the gesi cats, so no cell. 0 rasp or drone, but exceptionally loud when the valves are open. Quiet when I need it to be.

So it seems from comments removing both resonators as well as secondary cat isnt a good idea

Leaning towards just removing the resonators as has been suggested. I’m otherwise running stock.

I too was worried about drone. I started with DSC 2 Valve controller, it was a lot better but decided to removed the first resonator and i'm happy where it's at.

Just removed both resonators today plus had a valve control installed and can't tell you how happy I am with the way the car sounds now! This is how the car should have sounded from the factory. Cold start with valves open is incredible and when it gets down to normal revs it's actually audible. With the valves closed it sounds just slightly louder than stock. Hope this helps!
