2021 BMW M3 Reviewed on one of America's Greatest Roads
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com "And Route 33 is a real-world road. It’s not in some exotic far-off land. Every state has a stretch of highway that seems to exist solely for practicing the art of driving—a road so good, it’s fun to engage in a stanced Miata, a clapped-out old Camaro, or a ratty motorcycle. But it’s something very special in a car like the M3." One thing I will say.... THESE are the photos BMW should have used for their press launch. Incredible photography.

Just put it into neutral and let it roll back a little at stoplights before putting it into drive and taking off.... it's basically the same thing... trust me

Interesting how much praise the 6MT got in this R&T article.
Ordered my M3 earlier this week and for the first time in almost a decade I opted for the automatic. This decision was largely influenced by Lieberman and Cammisa who are generally manual diehards like myself. Someone should do a deep-dive analysis on g8x 6MT vs 8AT... |

Glad to know I'm not the only one pretending to drive a manual... Don't you hate it when faking a manual gear change fails

funny thing about that.... when I was young and dumb (now I'm old and dumb), I did that very thing in my 93 maxima. Ended up blowing the transmission on it....

But sure, I'll read it. There are plenty of great roads to drive on, some don't get as much marketing. I want to drive the M3C on the autobahn, and a future personal trip to DE needs to include that |

They didn't have any reason to not order the auto other than just saying just don't do it. I'm guessing it's just a "always get the manual" thing, even if the MT was made from gravel and rebar.

Since we are on the topic of the old Maxima. My first stick shift car was a early nineties Maxima SE. The day I took delivery I had to have a friend escort me to drive it home. To this day I remember the honks and the cursing hurled my way every time I stalled at the stop light lol.

I'm jealous. My wife and I have always talked about moving to the southwest... either SOCAL or Arizona. I'm totally open to it and I work remote, but her job isn't as flexible (she'd end up having to get a new job), so it's always just been a pipedream.... maybe one day....

JPH is wrong- it is not subjective; BMW's current design language is objectively terrible.
Perhaps the best thing about driving a G80/82 is that you are not looking at it. -Michael |

"...trilling straight-six sound of the new M3's exhaust..."
I stopped reading the article at the above, not quite sure what exhaust sound they're talking about... |

S58 has better tone to it than the very raspy s55. Speaking based solely on personal experience.
