Wow man I’m sorry. I can’t believe this is still going on. BMW would want to get this resolved as quick as possible so they can get paid. They are not making any money with those cars sitting at a port.
Bro this just sucks so bad I shoulda had my car 2 weeks ago. A easy fix would just get rid of the parking assist camera! I was thinking about moving on from bmw into something else but there's nothing else in the 85k price range 6MT that I would be interested in. Guess I'l just wait

Waiting with no end in sight has been aggravating. I've been looking at other new and lightly used 6MT RWD sedans between 40-80k as backup. Not much outside of F80s and Cadillac CTS-V. Like you, I'll just have to be patient.

Hey fellas, first post, but I'm in the same boat. Car carrier is arriving to port in Oxnard, CA today, but no clue when the stop-sale might be remedied. Literally without a car too since I traded in my 18' STI in April.

On a related note, do you guys know how long the rate-lock lasts? I checked and I placed the order end of April so I'm thinking it's gotta be expiring soon right?

Will be calling Genius tomorrow..

There is no way your dealer is going to do you wrong on the rate lock. If they do you should tell them to pound sand. After all the fact that you don’t have your car yet is not your fault and bad enough. If they increase your interest rate on top of that there is no way I would buy a car from them.

I'm in the exact same boat (literally) - the Antares Leader pulling into port in Oxnard and my rep has zero clue when the fix will be applied. Somebody, somewhere must have an ETA. Genius is no genius either. Frustrating!

Rate locks for the West Coast are good for 90 days. 60 days on the East Coast.

Dealership should hopefully be willing to work with you and not adjust the rate you previously locked in due to all the delays though.

Glass half full! At least your cars are mostly produced. I'm still waiting for a G83 allocation.

You'll still get your cars before me.

West Coast is now 120 days for the rate lock (beginning with April 2021 applications)

I hope they don't consider the date of transaction your "In Service Date" which sets the Warranty period. If it did, I would demand them to extend it by your wait time in writing. You're losing value because of their issue.

Also a first time poster, but just found this thread as I have been lurking in the 5 series forums with a '21 M550 on order for PCD. My car has been sitting at VPC since first week of July waiting for camera issue to be resolved. I received an email from my broker yesterday that the client advisor told him the "stop sale has been resolved" and they would be reaching out to Performance Center for a delivery date. Since this might be progress (I have not had time to call Genius recently to confirm), thought I would share.

Same for me , UK based , car has been here since the 15th July, the delivery is due tomorrow (31st July) but no update as to when it will actually arrive

More concerning is reports that some options have been deleted from factory orders , the wireless charging is well known but the laser lights and active cruise has been removed from some orders.

We need to find a way to verify nothing was deleted before signing.

If I don't have the laser lights I will pass. I don't want those droopy-eyelid peasant halos.

My dealer updated me today that wireless charging has been deleted and Harmon Kardon has been deleted from all cars apart from the M division. Was able to assure me the other packs are on the order though , still on a stop sale though with no news of when I will see it

I'm in a similar position with my G31 530d. Its been here for a couple of weeks and was due for delivery on 16th July. I have selected tech pro pack with HK audio and laser lights. If all that is missing there is no way I'll accept the car.

My dealer, BMW ISSD, hasn't been able to provide any details and are still peddling the excuse that its just a quality control issue and that no options are missing. Starting to believe that might not be the case...

I'm in the same boat. (well, not literally) If my car is missing anything, its a no, for me. The dealer will have $102,895 sitting around. Especially if the laser lights are not installed.

How pissed do you think my dealer will be if my car is going to the performance center (sitting at charleston VPC) and I cancel?

Seems like I wont get to pick it up at the performance center until at least September (while everyone is getting 22's at dealers and my M4 will be losing value rapidly.
On the other hand, as I saw with Carvana yesterday, my M2 just keeps going up!
