Which map does James from whats your forte have? Is that the 91 octane map 7? He got it from RG also and i dont believe he had any cel. Just saying considering the source of where the RC are coming from it might be worth noting whether a “91 map” is the way to go even using 93 octane. Also the OP had superknock on a separate thread purchased directly from RC. Map 7 on the factory setting was dyno’ed using 105 octane in europe.

Thanks brother, we're really cracking down on what exactly is happening here. This could be very true sounds extremely reasonable, seems like people with no issues have a US based map- wonder if that's the solution here

I mean its "just" a piggy vs a full blown DME tune... I was one of the first, if not the first RC on the F90 back in 2018 and now with the G80. No issues with either over long term ownership (F90) so it Im not sure what happened with the OP's harness/module.

I still understand what it means to "pay to play" as well.

Update on my CEL:

One of the harness lines had managed to come into contact with my alternator I believe.

The belt chewed through the wire and was causing my issues.

I'm back in map 7 and it pulls as hard as ever with 0 issues after my 1.5 hour drive home.

It's honestly pretty savage how ballistic 3rd gear is with this thing now.

I'd recommend it to anyone.

He got the USA map for sure and most likely due to my logs yes.

But I am not running any special program- I did the logging and gave it to RC USA who then used it to update the Euro Map to the US version on 91. My logging was for all maps and before that I ran 1 week with the RC Euro map (all of them) with no issues.

This is good news in a way- it means no engine issues or whatever but instead "shit happens".

Hey i have a question when you're in map 7 have you exceeded speeds of 130mph+ and does it still feel consistent power? It might be the US MAP difference

I'm pretty sure when I raced my buddy 2 weeks ago I was doing 130 or so and yeah it felt strong.

Butt dyno didn't notice gain that much but noticed loss when RC was removed. confirmed quarter-mile was the same as stock after removal.

I dont have a picture but my reputation is reasonable here so Ill say this:

I hit the limiter yesterday on map 7 on a toll road with no cars and it was pulling thru the 130 range no doubt whatsoever.

This car on map 7 feels every bit as fast as my stock F90 M5 (departed) and stock F93 M8. It could be the S58 engine as well which begs to be driven aggressively.

This is good to hear. I also haven't had any issues with mine on 91. I moved down to map 6 because of other's recent issues but might go back up to 7. I ordered my RC from RGSport so my displeasure was with the actions of the mother company.
