I concur with most folks here. I acquired my G80 recently.

G82's for sure can be had below MSRP here in SoCal. And every dealer has multiple copies on their lots.

G80's are very hard to get. One dealer (won't name them), wanted $5K markup for the spec I have.

The better behaving dealers are doing MSRP for a good color combo and build.

Things may be different if you're getting a less popular color or spec perhaps, but there are just too many people who will comfortably pay MSRP for these cars.

Yea I figured. I've found a few cars on the lot (Out of state of course), but they've been specced very high (Carbon buckets, carbon exterior pack) but not in color combo I'm looking for..which is the hard part..

Your aim is a reasonable discount or let alone incentives and the lowest interest rate you can get. A 3k discount is moot if you have a 8% interest rate which is marked up.

G80 are hot and the hottest selling M model at the moment. So don't expect major discounts as these are selling well.

December is year end closure.. Dealers/manufacturers have goals and December is the month to do it.

January deals go back to status quo along with any interest rate deals.

Also ask your buddy for the true numbers and not just off. You can easily hide a markup with fees and interest rstes.

I bought my G80 December 28th and called 10+ dealers in socal to buy a car on the lot or in transit. I was able to find at best no rate mark up and at MSRP. Most dealers asked for 5k over sticker and a rate mark up. I also had a hard time proving my $1k college discount. But I had no luck getting anything under MSRP. Also no dealer add ons as that’s how they get you as well.

That won’t change anything except cars not spoken for that are on dealer lots.

Do you happen to know if this will still be available in March? It's looking like that is when mine will arrive. The fine print says it expires 1/31....but I know that sometimes things like this keep getting rolled over month to month.

No idea. These incentives are always changing.
