g80 discounts
What kind of discounts are people getting nowadays?
G80 & G82 have been at MSRP for a while, wondering if we are starting to get under MSRP, if so by how much? |

I’ve only seen some people mention trying really hard to get a military discount, loyalty discount, or some percentage off msrp if the car (g82) is on the lot for a while. I haven’t seen anyone mention deals or discounts on a g80 other than the two mentioned at first.

I don't think new inventory of M3s will see discounts, there is still a wait list at least in Socal. Perhaps that will change when the LCI is officially announced.

I picked mine up 10/31 and I got 3% off MSRP on G80. All depends on relationship with dealer to get discounts on G80s it sounds like

There may be some discounts if you finance through BMW since they make up the loss through the interest on the loan. But that’s not really a discount.

M4 has seen some discounts - like i’ve been reading about some crazy discounts weather it’s 1-12% off. G80 is so high in demand i haven’t seen much on it. We’ve still got 10 people on our wait list. Not saying it’s not possible but not as steep as an M4.

That or depends on where you're located and what the local market is like. Southern California dealers are still asking MSRP + ADM which is insane to me, even on M4s.

G82s/G83s are piling up at bay area dealers... Ive heard of 8-10% off or more on in stock inventory if youre looking to move by end of year.
Nothing really less than MSRP on G80 from what i heard, besides some isolated cases on this forum of 1-3% off for a few people who have a relationship with the dealer. |

Pretty much MSRP for M3s in the PNW. I’m getting the $2,500 military discount but thats it.
M3’s aren’t on lots long and allocations are tough to find. M4s however can be found at basically every BMW dealer.

At least in socal, G80's are still having mark ups asked. Not too hard to find MSRP deals if you try. Haven't seen anything under MSRP unless for some exceptions but even then Ive only seen in the realm of 1-3%.
G82 is a different story. Id be looking for at least an 8-10% discount based on the inventory I have been seeing. When you start seeing Individual builds sitting on the dealer lots, it means no one is ordering G82s so they have open allocation slots. |

MSRP for g80 on Long Island and environs and some dealers are still marking up. As I have a deposit down and am meant to have Jan allocation I have been checking the tri state area.
On the other hand I am not willing to write a check now because I dont want winter delivery even at a discount so it's hard to gauge completely. One dealer got back to me saying they were aggressive about moving a car by the end of the year but w/o discussing actual numbers it's hard to know what that means. Also I don't care about saving a few grand if I am not getting exactly what I want. It would have to be a huge number for me to consider and unless BMW is about to go bankrupt it's not going to happen. My brother got a new GM truck MSRP $50k for $26k in the financial crisis. |

Why would people who’ve been waiting for a G80 “back out” when the LCI cars start coming? It’ll basically be the same car other than the new headlights and an extra 20+hp (Comp cars only).

I have been checking Nassau County. According to Consumer Reports/True Car in my region in the trailing 30 days (I think thats criteria for recent sales) there have been 31 M3 Xdrives sold: 25 cars between 1% under or 1% over MSRP, 2 cars at 2% to 4% over MSRP and 4 cars at over 4% over MSRP. At all local dealers that I have called there is a waiting list for an allocation. I dont see how with the regional market conditions there can be significant discounts. Cant speak to elsewhere.

Having my alleged Jan allocation pushed back to Feb - I reached out to another local dealer - they wanted $5k over MSRP for allocation. FTS
