07/2023 update
So upon mentioning my GPS drift issues, the foreman informed me (heh) that they just got the stuff needed for the 07/2023 update and offered to load it to see if it addresses the issue once and for all.
I haven’t driven it long enough to know if that’s been addressed, but I have noticed a couple other really nice things so far: 1) They’ve removed the dashes on the instrument cluster where the M Traction indicator is. 2) M1/M2 no longer requires you to wait to confirm if you have some traction/MDM setting, quick double tap and you’re in 3) feels generally a little snappier. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% lag free but it’s definitely better Not sure if anyone’s also on it and noticed anyone else. My version is 07/2023.45 |

In iDrive 8, they added a 2 second delay between when you can hit M1/M2 a second time if you have any traction settings tied to that button. In 07/2023, they've apparently removed that delay, and you can quickly double-tap the button to get in. (still working for me a week later btw) |

It would turn back on the first drive back if I turned off M1/M2, but since it sat overnight it stayed off the entire time until now.

Is this something only on the competition models? On my 6MT, the start/stop remembers the last setting and never switches back unless I hit the button.

Now with this new update, which I haven't loaded yet, wondering if it will erase the CS coding (even though it's OEM). (and sorry if it was answered already; I will read the whole thread)

Auto start/stop can we setup to be off automatically you just need to program one of your seat memory positions. Mine kept coming back on startup until I read that you just need program your seat memory button with auto stop/start off and it works. It ties in with your BMW profile.

I have the suspicion that my car is not getting updates for some reason. I have 6MT without executive package. Anyone else with similar options having issues with getting updates too?

What version are you on? I received my car in May and so far I've not had any updates.

Or if you are having problems, you can bring it to the dealer and they can update the software manually. |

I am aware of that. My concern is that I've never gotten an update since delivery in May. My software version is 3-4 versions behind the most current one. I'll wait 1-2 weeks and if nothing happens, I'll schedule a visit to the dealer.

What other updates were you expecting? If you're referring to the point updates, like 03/2023.47 or .50, those are not necessarily previous versions, but specific versions of software with those cars that have specific packages. So, if, for example, you don't have the Driving Professional Pro Package, you may not have .47 or .50 since your car doesn't need that specific version. The 03/2023 or 07/2023 is the important part. |

I was told early model year cars were accidently removed from remote software updates by a tech. My 21 had not received an update since early 2022. The dealer was able to upload the most recent software for me.
