Unfortunately, that news was already broken a few weeks ago

I’m aware of that tread as I posted within it:https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=30721616

However, this is the general BMW thread, as the one above was within the G80 forum. Going to be lots of upset, angry and confused customers who are repeat PCD customers.

I personally recommend that PCD customers stay the night before in Greenville SC, as lots of restaurants to walk to from the downtown hotels, unlike the Marriot Greenville which was the former PCD hotel and is isolated.

Any news on whether PCD deliveries will resume for other vehicles?

I have seen over on the G8x board that some have PCD January 2024. But unsure if these were delayed production orders that were grandfathered in.

I’m not worried with PCD being limited to SC X manufactured vehicles, as once new and repeat customers get word that the provided hotel and dinner are cut, PCD demand will drastically drop.

Remember that the $995 destination fee was equivalent PCD cost, as it doesn’t cost that much to transport X vehicles less than 2 miles either from Hall 50 or 52 to the Performance Center across the street on SC 101.

They were, as of now and going forward until and if something changes, no more PCD for anything other than SC-built cars, even if it's an M car.

That is just sad. What is BMW's rationale for this?

Apparently customer delivery lead times were to long for SC manufactured vehicles—wouldn’t be surprised if onsite storage at the PCD was an issue. The German manufactured vehicles could sit at the port until 2 weeks prior to PCD, but I also read that BMW NA needed the car truck carriers to transport Greer manufactured vehicles to dealerships which were pulled from transporting from the port to PC.

It was cost cutting move, as hotel and dinner is no longer provided “free of charge” for PCD after January 1st, 2024.

Hopefully the PCD deliveries go down in frequency so that they can open it up again to the non SC built vehicles. I don't care about the freebies; I just want the experience of taking delivery at the Performance Center .

Euro Delivery was where it was at. PCD pales in comparison. Taking ED away was the real crime.
