Build Week 08 - MY23

Ordered 3 January, got production number today, 'scheduled for Production'. TB2, full tartufo, M4 Comp xDrive. I'm guessing 3 months to go.

Original Order- 1/16
Cancel First Order- 1/18
Second Order- 1/18
Status 111- 1/18
Status 112- 1/27

I'm hoping 150 hits Feb 7th ish.

Supposedly week 8 for me too.

I have been waiting for an allocation for a while now at my local dealer, was supposed to be 1st on the list, but still called around a few other dealers to get the same answer everywhere…. We have 20 people on the list already….
Anyways, Friday evening one of these dealers called me out of the blue because a customer canceled so he had 112 status available. I jumped on it. Makes me wonder what happened to the ‘20 people on the list’… unless it was just BS.

When I log in the BMW website it just says factory has scheduled production… I don’t see the actual status code or build week… info was given to me by the dealer.

Now let’s be patient and hope no delays occur. I opted for PCD.

We’re you able to configure the allocation to your build? Once a vehicle is status 150 I don’t believe the build can be altered.

Yes sorry, fixed it, it’s 112, not 150

Looks like the week 6 folks started seeing their status change to 150 around 1/25. So, I'd imagine we'll start seeing the same around 2/8. Seems to make sense as the VIS I got from my dealer literally shows a confirmed production date of 2/8.

BMW told me car should be finished with production the week of 2/20.

Anyways, just contemplating our timeline from here in case anyone is doing the same.

IIRC that 2/8 on your sheet might actually mean month 2 week 8. Your theory lines up though, status 150 about 2 weeks before the actual week of production. Still waiting for mine to flip to 112 - hopefully this week 😴

Actually, you're right. The dealer said my car is "scheduled to begin production on 2-8-2023". But I think my salesperson simply read the VIS as a date, like I did. Upon further inspection, you are correct. The VIS indicates "Yr/Mo/Wk", and it shows 2023/02/08.

Now it all makes sense given BMW said production would happen the week of Feb 20th.

But yeah, as you pointed out, overall timeline still works out. We should see 150 in a few weeks.

I just spoked with my CA here in Spain. My car moved to 112 today..

We should see 150 by next week.

M3 xdrive

When You log into myGarage it won't give the Numbered status code. It just gives the verbal as you mentioned. The dealer will see a status code and build week when then they log in. The genius number 844 4Genius can tell you specific build week (production complete week) also. Some of the Genius people are more clear about the info than others. You just have to ask specifically for the Scheduled Production Week.

In myGarage you can add the Chrome Trick extension to see all your options in the build when you log in via Google Chrome. There is a thread somewhere about how to do it. It's kind of cool.

I was in a similar situation with my M4- was told no allocations, or the dealer that had an allocation wanted 2k in dealer add ons, 3 deep on a list etc. I started calling every dealer in the midwest and they got me the build week 8. Score!

Sweet! I keep on looking at pics of paint etc to make sure I'm 100% skyscraper lol. I know if I change anything now it will revert back to 111. I'm sticking with my Skyscraper convictions I think...

I called this dealer maybe 3 weeks ago because I have been 1st
"on the list" at my local dealer since December, and they don't get any allocation. And out of nowhere, I get a call back to be offered an allocation in 112 status because someone canceled...
3 weeks ago, this dealer wouldn't even take my name down because they had 20 people waiting already.... I guess 20 people before me didn't pick up their phone...
