The funny thing is based on the car GPS above and what BMW "AT THE PORT" is showing are two complete separate things. Look below. Seems sketchy to me.

It's because they don't have a blue dot for "at the distribution center". I guess they could have left it at "dispatched from factory"

What I'm guessing happened is that when your car was complete and ready to leave the factory they had a backlog at port Bremerhaven. So to get your car out of the factory they sent it to Krefeld to be stored until space opens up at Bremerhaven. But from what we learned in the QC purgatory thread, BMW likes to move newer builds along through the line, even when months old builds are sitting around. When they have extra capacity/parts then they move onto the older builds to handle whatever their situation might be (in your case getting moved to the port)

I spoke with my CA regarding the matter and uncertainty of delivery and he offered me to switch to a convertible from a different dealer. It fits the build I would say 3/10. Car is in the states. I am not going to go with it though..doesn't even have the color combo I want.
