I think you're missing the whole point. It's a special paint because of the gold flake that shows up in the sun. It's not Mineral Grey.

I know what it looks like in the day & therefore I'm not missing the point. To me I love the deeper darker colors. Like the Dark Graphite Metallic on my X3 M Competition.

This is how I want to do it. I paint correct and ceramic coat, on the side, but I think I want it done with a professional coating. I cant get my hands on a professional coating, or I would do it, myself. They dont sell bake on ceramic coating to customers. I cant wait for mine, this looks CRAZY!@!@!@! Its going to be hard to give my car up for a week, to get all of this done, but I want the front PPF, before it even hits the highway.

That's the best way to do it. No chance of a rock bouncing up while you wait to get it done.

Truer words have never been spoken. Both my 2020 and my 2021 had extensive highway damage inside of 1,000 miles. my 2020 got a star crack with 180 miles on it. now my 2021 has one, dead center in the drivers view, and windshields are 30-45 days back ordered.

That's crazy and sad to hear! I believe the front windshield of the g80/g82 is a thicker type of glass too?

I believe Mercedes and BMW have much better glass. I watched a Crud Plug video, where a guy was repeatedly throwing a rock at the passenger window of an E class, trying to break the window, and after the 3rd or 4th toss, the rock bounced back at him, and knocked him out cold. I died laughing. So, I think the windows are much better quality. But Honda does use Pilkington.

Just finished a night drive and I was finally able to get some shots of Bahamut at the gas station. I always found it beautiful how Dravit Grey has an almost a pastel-like appearance without going full matte under fluorescent lighting.

Thanx for posting the pic. I honestly don’t like how flat it looks. It’s strange to me how light it looks compared just to the pics above which looks much darker and it’s under the same lighting no?

All good! Dravit is definitely a dynamic looking color and I wanted to post this particular one because I didn't see too many pictures on this thread with that shade.

The lighting was under fluorescent lighting at my local gas station and was taken on my iPhone 12 pro unedited for reference
