Hmm, makes me worried as my dealer says they should know by Thursday as January allocations had yet to come due to the holiday.

I ordered one in last week of Nov in Dallas, with a December allocation. Dealer told me I would be on the '25 list. Plant closed for 45 days, new orders being changed to 2025's. Anyone else heard any of this?

45 days from when? Dealer and BMW genius keep telling me that my car will be a week 7 build.

There's no way the plant is closed for 45 days straight. That alone is more than 10% of the year. I don't think that SA really knows what they're talking about.

Be shut down for a while for the LCI changeover, but that's not for a few months still.

Sounds like my dealer when I went to order one. Just try a different dealer. One 2 hours away had several immediate allocations

Your dealer is misinformed. M3 LCI production only starts in July. M4 should start soon however (end of feb/ early march). It’s possible January M4 allocations will be for LCI build.

Most likely your dealer just didn’t receive an M3 allocation this month, I’ve heard the # of allocations given out has been reduced vs past months.

My "Center of Excellence" high volume M dealer expected I would have an allocation in Jan. Its been pushed to Feb it seems. Signed up deposit down in mid Nov. There were 2 people in front of me so it seems they got 1 in Dec and 1 in Jan. I am next - we shall see.

As much as I did not want it until April I am bummed. May be May maybe.

I reached out to Hans a couple days ago and got an allocation for a week 9 build G80CX. no mention of any delays

That's interesting, I got my allocation December 30. Build week 11 with individual paint, which would be march production, my understanding is the LCI switch is somewhere around june/july
