Taken me 2 years to embrace the g8x frontal design, this might take me 100 years just to look at that picture again
A+ for effort

Cool project, looks like hot trash, though.
Anyone doing a shooting brake? That could look pretty great w/ the G8x design language. |

Have to appreciate the amount of work and commitment that has gone in to this build.

The M4 works sooo much better as an El Camino.

Been an interesting 24 hours reading the various posts and opinions, knowing that some would like the build and others wouldn't. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I already knew what to expect of a project of this caliber - especially on a discussion forum.
Personally, I think it's awesome that this build exists. Would I do the same thing to an M4? Probably not. But there is the fact that someone actually had the guts to buy a M4 Competition and move forward with this plan is pretty amazing. The overall purpose is marketing, exposure and creating a buzz, and its doing exactly that. If everyone did the same exact mods day in and day out - it would be a pretty boring scene. SEMA is a pretty tough industry to get noticed, and this build wasn't lost in the crowd. Mission accomplished. I'm sure this project isn't complete by any means as there was only a few weeks to complete before SEMA, a near impossible deadline that was met at the final hour. However, I'm looking forward to see progress along the way and even happier getting to be a part of it.

Not sure why I just imagined myself driving this with a photographer strapped in the bed taking 120mph+ rollers lol

If we do not have M3 touring, that will be great!
If it is going into mass production, I think it will be exclusively for Australia!
