New owner advice

Hi all,
I am about to collect a new M3 Competition Touring to replace two cars, going to a "One Car Garage" and this seems to be a good choice.

I am currently playing with a Demonstrator which is great, so I am fairly happy with my choice.

I just wondered what you guys thought of the model and what everyday living with one will be like?

FYI I am replacing a 911 Targa and XD3 Alpina..

Thanks in advance,
James

Go back to Porsche.. you will thank me later.

Seriously- this is best M3 you can get. CS M3 variant may be coming.. however keep your 911…

I just sold my 997 Turbo S and got a G80 xDrive sedan. Right now the only thing I miss from my Turbo S is "having a Porsche". And really that's because we have a REALLY robust and very cool group of Porsche owners in this town. I still own two Cayennes but it's not the same rocking up to cars and coffee or going on a back roads driving blast in a Cayenne vs. a 911.

Aside from that, our roads here in Houston are not special enough to where the differences between the two are apparent in the day to day. And while the G80 is not a 911, living with a 4 door sedan every day is way more practical (especially one with 2024 tech vs. a 2011 that had basically late ought's tech in it). I finally have been able to stretch the car's legs on some back roads and let me tell you, on the road at 7/10 to 8/10....it wasn't any less fun than my Turbo S by any means. And certainly not any slower either.

Coming from a Targa...I'm not the hugest targa fan. Would rather the sunroof or a full cabrio. My first 911 was a cab and that I DO miss having when the weather is nice. That you obviously won't get with an M3.
