My production starts 10th July but delivery date is about 1 month after you guys - must have missed the boat or something. Hopefully the dealer is over-promising

Got some good/bad news today.
Good News
Been given a VIN and told my build has already started and the car is in the painting stage.
Bad News
Had informed dealer to change the interior to Fiona Red, but did this verbally. Was told change would be made and would confirm all options prior to build.

I blame myself as much as the dealer in that I should have chased in June since I had been told the build was going to be early July.
Still looking forward to Oct and I know I will track it once its on a ship, just like I did last time.

Your vehicle has finished the first stages of production, and will now go through assembly and quality checks.

Once this is complete, your vehicle will be transported to the docks where it will await assignment to a vessel.

Hanibal74, I completed the 2022 M4 Comp with the CA in May. On the Vehicle Inquiry Report/build sheet it does not list wireless charger. He also told me its not an option on all the 2022 vehicles.

I'm still waiting on a production number all I hear is crickets.

I placed my order with Waverly BMW in Melbourne. They were fantastic and shipping the car to me in Sydney post PDC.

From what I can make out, it takes ~20 - 25 days or so to build the car depending on parts availability and/or configuration.

M3's and M4's are being produced at different facilities. M3 is at the Munich facility and M4 at Dingolfing. They are about 2 hrs apart. Not sure if there is a difference in the time to build 🤔

I just had a look at what I received from my dealer in Sydney and I couldn't find any mention of the wireless charging.

Also I'm pretty sure what you guys in the states consider options, we in Australia receive as standard for example the driving assistant package and the M Drive professional package are standard on all G8X M cars.

The only way I could get my build done was by adding option Z9W which is deletion of wireless phone charging. Surprised that others haven't had to do the same thing. My sales guy is on the ball (bought quite a few cars from him specifically and the dealership more broadly) so I would be surprised if he was not correct ….
