Windshield Washer Fluid

May seem like a dumb thread but I read somewhere (couldn't find the thread) that some of the auto-part store brands have additives detrimental to BMWs new system. May be bullshit.

Used Rain-X All Season in all my previous cars without issues. Any thoughts on this? What are you using in your G8X?

You not suppose to use fluid that contains silicone additives which stuff like Rain-X does (that’s what makes it water repellent).
They have that warning for all BMW cars….
