Good point!
I think there are some very important unanswered questions about the case.
- When will it appear in the configurator?
- Does the color match the car that you order?
- What is the interior color?
- Does it have Comfort Access?

I don't know where all of the martian math is coming from. I ordered my G82 with everything, except the carbon buckets, and carbon exterior, and it was still $102,895, with the M Drivers package and carbon brakes. I've added the OEM carbon exterior since I've owned it, but, it would have been $111,495 with buckets and carbon exterior, ordered from the factory. So, I don't know how $88K works.

M3cx - 77,100
Individual paint - 3,750
Carbon fiber trim - 950
Park assist package - 800
Executive package - 1,800
Laser lights - 1000
Shadowline Lights - 300
Wireless charging - 200
Destination - 995
MSRP - 86,895

This is the MSRP of equivalent MY22 without carbon ceramics and carbon buckets. In addition to the above option, this edition has few carbon fiber bits (not all parts CF exterior package).

the math looks good...i would be pretty shocked if it doesnt include the m drivers package though. The carbon fiber bits they give you are probably worth a couple thousand also so thats not really a negligible cost. its also pretty hard to put a price on a color that you cant even get as an individual color without this special edition. you could do twilight purple which is nice but it looks different than techno violet. Seems like a good value to me if you can find one without a huge markup.

Couple dealers want $10k markup
I don't think it was a good value from beginning and added markup on top of that, that easy no for mec

I am in agreement with you. It has some distinctive changes to the regular M3 that makes this cool, and I especially like Techno or Interlagos - MSRP seems reasonable for what it represents, based on the discussions here it there seems to be no consensus though.

My CA called to tell me they have an allocation that opened up for a second Jahre edition, and asked if I want it. I declined...I'll wait for what I want

With a $3700 increase to the MY23 M3 models the pricing is starting to make more sense... Will be interesting to see if anything has become standard

My local dealer received a second allocation. They called and offered it to me but they are firm at 25K over MSRP. Bitter pill to swallow from where I'm sitting.

I’m thankful to have received an allocation for one at MSRP, especially since this will be my first M3, but the 2023 price increase across the board is a tough pill to swallow. I’m still super excited, but I hate where our economy is currently. Elections have consequences, but that’s for another board.

How do one get an allocation? It seems like I can't even get an allocation for a regular M3 lol I have been on a "list", maybe imaginary since November 2021.

Is this car worth getting with respect to appreciation? I personally don't think so but my brother in law can get one for MSRP and wants to buy to eventually flip. My response was "it's not a Porsche GT car so it's a toss up".

I don't expect this car to appreciate or demand a crazy premium. But barring insane interest rates and a deeper recession, I think prices will hold steady, especially the xDrive models.

There's a small chance that there's a bigger premium for Techno Violet or Interlagos Blue but seems slim to me.
