Does anyone in the United States have a digital key and a physical BMW Key card to start and unlock their Cars ? Is bmw still doing that due to the chip shortages ?

Yes they are, I took delivery yesterday and got both

Just take notice if you're getting a car with a manual transmission it doesn't come with a digital key.

I know you asked about M3 manual.

I didn't receive a key card, took delivery M4CX this week (US buyer). Phone app works, two fobs. No key card. SA didn't mention it, build sheet never mentioned it.

sidenote no one asked for: I've used the phone/key, and am thinking of disabling it. I like having a fob after a year of Tesla phone key (that locked me out periodically). As long as it locks when I walk away and unlocks when I open, that's all I care about. Plus it allows me to attach PO box key.
As for the key card, I probably wouldn't use it or add it to my minimalistic money clip.

Gets up from laptop, walks through kitchen, reheats 2nd cup coffee, in garage....all of a sudden I remember flipping visor down on roadtrip back from out of state dealer and thinking "hmmm, no vanity mirror light, and it has some odd feeling thickness to the side."
