I'm an F80 owner - and I still absolutely love my car - but I have to admit, those grills are actually growing on me (never thought I'd say that, but I just did)!

Some ppl accepted 996 911 - doesn’t make them any less ugly. They sold more than 993 generation cars.

The G80 will always be know for the ugly huge 🐷 grill.

Oh god yes, WTF was Mercedes thinking?!? It actually looks worse than the way BMW implemented it. Had BMW not gone with the giant grille the lower mouth opening is the perfect spot dead center to blend it in.

What about changing the horizontal slats to body color? You will still get a contrast of color, due to background and shadows, but it would be much more restrained?

It kinda feels like someone just turned the old grills sideways in photoshop and then stretched them big.

Yes. That's true. But I was just explaining the sentiments and positions of most of the negative comments. It's really more tough love than hate.

Whether it's effective or not is an entirely different topic.

The problem is they went to far in the direction of form vs function. This will NOT age well. I'm fact I predict this M3 that is referred to as the "ugly one" for eternity.

Hopefully the feedback inspires them to make the next gen be something amazing.
