Color Options??

Hello everyone, so I am a previous F80 M3 owner who left the BMW community and went on to Mopar. I currently have a Hellcat Charger, and while the car is fun, I do miss being in an M car. I currently have a pending allocation for a 2024 G80 M3 Competition X-drive (long story on the pending allocation). So my order was for a Isle of Man Green with KO interior. I've only seen that color in person 1 time and it was amazing. My only thing is I am kind of torn between the IOMG and Dravit Gray with FR interior. I've never seen DG in person so that's kind of where I don't know exactly what it looks like.

So, what are your thoughts? IOMG with KO or DG with FR?

I voted Dravit with Fiona Red interior.

If it helps, Dravit Grey is a dark grey in most situations. The gold flake is very subtle and only comes out in bright light. If you're looking for an understated color that you won't get tired of in a year, then Dravit is a good bet.

Dravit is on equal footing with FR and KO for me. It's excellent in both situations (I will be a bit bias with DG + FR because it's my combo though :P ). IOMG would be with YMB for me.

IMO IOMG / KO (yes did that on purpose) is WAY played out. It was the launch combo and very popular.

Dravit is a fantastic color. It does NOT look dark gray most of the time as one other poster said, but flips actually to a lighter gray in many lights, looking much like Brooklyn or Chalk. Very flat, but light. Check the Dravit thread for photos. I think it's an epically cool color for a "gray". Here is a good example:

If you can stomach the orange, Dravit over KO is cool, but Dravit over FR also works.

I'm personally more of a gray tone guy and if I was going to go for a custom, I'd do San Marino Blue over Silverstone. I ADORE San Marino, it's such an amazing color and works well on the G80.

But that's just me. You do you! IOMG / KO....played out.

Yeah this color does look great, and the reason I am second guessing my IOMG decision is because it is kinda played out. But it is such a great color too lol. Another thing is I am now also considering add Xpel Mat/satin PPF when I get the car. So there is that to think about as well.

That is an ENTIRELY different variable as the results are definitely mixed with satin PPF. IMO, I would not do it on Dravit. You'd kill the effect.

Yeah I think on that color it would have to be gloss PPF

I love IOMG but personally not a fan of KO with it. I went with Tartufo with IOMG on mine. I think it’s a good combination of sporty and luxurious. Silverstone would be nice too.

If you’re thinking of stealth PPF on IOMG, you can look at Kies Motorsports’s G80. They have that combo and it looks cool. It brings out the green more.

Melon/Christmas spec!

KO or YMB are still my top 2 picks. Tartufo in general IMO is a...dreary color. Makes the car look old.

If you live in BFE like I do - IOMG/KO is just stunning. Love my M4c and I didn't even think about another combo. But - if you live anywhere metro/Sbeach, etc. - there have to be other cars out there.

My partner and I are looking at another car and I weep that I cannot get an x3m in DG. It's a stunning color.
