After submitting your build, how long intil you can't make changes to individual paint and buckets?

Once you hit status 102, your individual color is locked, but you should be able to make changes to equipment with your dealer sending in a request to BMW directly.

Some interior colors are also individual, so those can't be changed either with 102. Status 150 the entire build is locked.

When mine was submitted it went to status 111 then 3 days later 102, below is my timeline, hope it helps:

BMW M4
9/28/24: paid deposit
10/19/24: got a production number status 111
10/22/24: put in status 102
10/27/24: back to 111 status special order color showing on my bmw
11/24/23: status 112
12/5/23: status 150; Production begins
12/15/23: status 151: exterior body assembly begins
12/18/23: status 152 — In The Paint Booth
1/10/24: status 153-155
1/11/24: status 182 awaiting carrier assignment
1/12/24: status 190 dispatched from factory
1/15/24: status 193 at the port

I was able to add the carbon fiber package after I submitted order and before I hit 150.

individual paint locks at 112, by then the bumpers are being painted so absolutely no changes.

If you want to change from one individual paint to another, you start from scratch again. So the dealer will have to request canceling the individual paint request, once it's undone--submit a new request for a new paint and you start back in 102.

Not sure how an individual paint and an interior like Fjord would work as the interior has an associated lock date that locks the build after a certain date

There is also a 3rd individual option, interior trim that affects the lock date.
