So close...lol. TinkerTailor noted that the wait during the car's journey from Germany to the US was painful...I agreed then, but I disagree now..lol This wait..is much much more painful. But soon it shall be over and we can enjoy!

BMW told me it has been released to a carrier and estimated to arrive 04/04. But my CA called the delivery company and they said they have till 04/07 to deliver the car. 😭😭

She's already at the dealership apparently..assuming it got there right before they closed. My CA said he'll send a few pics tomorrow since he left before the car got there. Planning to still pick up either Fri evening or Sat morning..

They are shipping it to me today. I’m 1hr 15mins away from the dealership. I asked them to not remove the stickers or detail the car. So should be on the truck to me around noon time |

Ah got it! Makes sense! Since this is my wife's 1st time picking up a new car this way she insisted the car be "ready to go" when we pick it up knowing full well I'll be spending the 2 days following detailing/ceramic coating before doing PPF throughout the week.

Looks great - love the color combo! Please report back once you receive it!
Mine came lightly prepped by the dealer. My detailer told me that BMW did quite a nice job on the finish and he didn’t have to do much paint correction - I was very happy to hear it! |

FINALLY! The piggybank is here and she looks goood.
CA just sent over some pics. Unfortunately I lost the tire lottery. Oh well :/. I have same PZeros on the plaid right now, and they're not that bad. Interior pics tomorrow and picking up bright and early Saturday AM. |

2 of the 3 colors on my short list! They look great and make me second guess my choice of Toronto Red. BMW does such a great job on paint. Mine is estimated in on 4/8. Fingers crossed I get too see it soon!

Picked her up today. Extremely happy I went with IOMG/tartufo. 6mt will take some time getting used to as 1>2 is tough to get smooth with Engine set to Sport+. Otherwise its good (and yes slighly rubbery). But it's so much fun. Absolutely no regrets going with manual. Car is extremely stable and composed. I'm coming from a Model S Plaid and the tire noise is the only con I can call out. But the pros..very heavily outweigh the Plaid. I'm glad I made the switch. Now to get these break in miles done and a few mods in..

The Plaid is an amazing car for sure, but depending on what you're looking for it could possibly be a mistake. For me it was a good experience and ill probably add one down the road. But the experience of the G80 is hands down incredible. The car PULLs hard. I'm at 660 miles now and look forward to driving it. Haven't gone past 5k intentionally yet. Hit 6k 2x by accident.
