Man, your car looks SO GOOD on the grey orbit wheels...still torn between PB and Tanz, but leaning heavily towards the former.

Thank you--- I just stumbled on it at the dealer about a month ago and it fit my needs and I have other cars with black wheels so this is a fresh look (for me)

Agreed. It looks great. If the 826M came in orbit grey I would have opted for them but I was a big fan of the concavity of those wheels so I went bicolor.

A guy in my building has a SPY M4 comp and i cannot believe how quiet it is. I need to do resonator delete AND downpipes to be happy (once they sort out the CEL).

How do you like RC? Is it something I should consider over JB4? I like that the Germans make it because I'm weird.

I dont know jack shit about any of this stuff (cats, res, x pipe, h pipe, remove two of these, remove one of those, etc), but I want to get some more sound without rasp. Deeper sound would be okay but I actually don't mind the S58 sound, it just could be louder. What the heck should I do?

LOL ---- Im just using the beta version and data logging for RC Germany for now. Its a map based on a Euro car but RC feels the US models are more potent in stock form.

From a seat of the pants feel, I can easily tell the car has more power from a launch and definitely as Im rolling from 60 to 130.

RC is really basic piggy vs the JB4 (great in its own right) but cant be molded for extreme hardware mods and fuel bumps. But Im just a one and done guy and dont need to mod the shit out of the car so it fits my needs well. I have it on my M8 which is now a 10.7 car at 131 or so.

based on what you just typed you will be fine with what I did as you heard the latest video with a warm engine.

Thats awesome. I agree with you and don't want to mess with a bunch of mods and start getting into HPFP and crazy ethanol mixes. I applaud people that do, but I just don't want to go down that path. Once RC releases for G82, I will be getting one. Hell, have Hans or one of the boys in Germany send me one for testing haha.

I think that sounds really nice. So I just tell the muffler guy to remove both resonators, and that's all? I am kind of lost with all the terms thrown around what was actually done to your exhaust.

Thanks man!

So in this thread, go to my opening post and you will see the before and after. Save those pics and your muffler guy can easily replicate it.

OP: Your car sounds good to me. I would go this route with my car paired with a valve controller (once available) and wait for the aftermarket to experiment on X and H patterns. I would leave the secondary cats. Personally I work around the cats until I know exactly what sound I am getting since removal can leave a strong odor until the primary cats are warmed up and it can be very loud depending on the vehicle.

I do not mind the rasp at all and I am sure in the cabin it sounds completely different, if you have a vid I would love to hear it from in the cabin.

I typically go with a cat-back exhaust, but it will be expensive they will all sound a little different depending on design. As time goes on more will be available and you pick what sounds best to you. I also add a valve controller on all my cars so I can ride through my neighborhood on quiet mode.

OP just cut out two resonator pieces (OEM parts to reduce volume) to get more volume. I think he succeeded and will cost very little and can be a nice mod until the exhaust you want is available.

It is all very subjective...

When you pull off the resonators do you need to cut them off or do they literally just get pulled right off?
