HAS Kit vs Lowering Springs

This would not be a successful BMW forum without a suspension poll.

For all you lot that are going to do suspension mods right away, what are you going to go with?

Pick from the poll above, and comment your vehicle use case below.

EDIT: Polls aren't working. Post a comment with your selection.

KW HAS
MSS HAS
AST Lowering Springs

I like comfort so I guess it would point towards MSS adjusted -5mm to be good for winter snow.

Or BMW M Performance depending on comfort and price.

I have found that KW has better spring rates than basic lowering springs like H&R or Eibach. The compression and rebound allow for a more enduring ride over slower undulations while becoming more taut at speed. I run KW HAS on my M8 CE GC and the ride is very good. On my F90 M5 I ran H&R's and that thing was bouncy. It was like it had "one extra bounce up".

I also run KW's on my AMG GTS... and have done over 15 sets to prior rides.

Ill do HAS if I get a G8X via KW (not ready yet) or MSS which Evolve has been testing across the pond.

I've run springs on all of my cars (...the exception being TEIN Gen 2's on my '05 ZCP) and didn't have any issues. Admittedly I wasn't tracking the cars though. This time around I may opt for the HAS kit(s) depending on cost.

Not sure yet - just need an inch or so drop without significantly compromising ride quality and performance.

Ask yourself this question - Why are you putting lowering springs on your $85K + M car that BMW has tuned perfectly?? Do you really think putting aftermarket springs will help with handling?? If you are doing it for looks and don't care about jacking up your ride and handling go for it! But leave it be until BMW M comes out with HAS kit-

Don't cheap out!!!

Relax bro! Let people live. A modest drop isn't going to negatively impact the car.
