Here's your MP HAS part number: 31 30 5 A2D 979

I presume the car pictured is lowered using the above

I would expect so too, but at 20mm max drop (and 10mm recommended drop) I'm struggling to believe that's what it really looks like with MP-HAS! Maybe with a few sandbags in the trunk

Similar to F80 it looks like G80's rear quarter panel / wheel arch is cut physically lower than G82. If you look at F80s with lowering springs, their rear wheel arch also eats up the tire. Look at the difference between F80s and F82s in the following thread - all at a similar height physically but F80 looks optically lower

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...postcount=2462
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...postcount=2464

Mine (just about slammed MPHAS in the back; only 2 threads left still looks higher than F80s):
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...78&postcount=6

G80 vs G82 (Don't mind the thread itself)

Thanks for the links!

Yes knowing that the G82 has a bigger tire to fender gap in the rear than the G80, I'm finding it hard to believe that the red M Perf G82 posted above is only dropped by 20mm using MP-HAS. Iy looks lower than that but maybe it's the black fender or some other illusion hiding the gap...

H&R just showed off their springs for the G82, the drop looks perfect to me if you are going for looks

I'm coming back around to going with M4 over M3 depending on which color, but it would have to be lowered early on. Anyone lower their M4 yet? Pics?

I ran the KW has kit on my F80 and loved it. Rode just like stock minus the wheel gap and i retained my edc settings. Their kit is dropping soon. Hopefully it will be out by the time my car arrives. Its currently sitting at the port in Germany.

These are my thoughts but..... see what H&R says- no way is that drop only four tenths of an inch in the rear which means their video is bs.

Those are the base headlights.

Agree with Vic55 their specs are whack although car looks great in promo vids. This would be the easiest way to go about lowering if it checks out.

Im worried about what it is on the G80---

this on their site too (H&R's)--- sorry but .4 is a waste of spring drop on any G80 car in the rear but the G82 gets 1.2--- Not sure what to believe but they said .4 on the M3.

I don't think the m3 needs as much of a drop in the rear. That May actually be perfect because the front is the main gap that needs addressing

.4 is 10mm

I think the rear needs 20mm or 25 but thats what I want for my car

It's good to see 1.2 F/R for M4. It needs at least that much and I'm not into slamming it. I think this is what I'll do as it's most cost effective and I wouldn't be tinkering with ride height on a HAS kit anyway.

I feel like my rear isn't that high, maybe with a wider wheel or spacer it will bridge some of the gap that being sunken in causes

What tires do you have? I cant tell from the pic but if you have the PS4's- they are more chunky and will fill the gap slightly better than mine.

Can you take a side pic like mine on an even surface for perspective?

Thanks.

Edit: I think you have PS4's based on the front tread pattern.

Im going to stick with KW but for those who dont want to spend as much the M4 H&R drop looks like the ticket as you have stated.

Now I have had many a set of H&R's with Porsche's, Audi's, Benzes and over 15 sets of KW HAS... Ive always felt the H&R's were too bouncy due to spring rates being lower on my M cars. I had them on my F90, E92, E46, and both F10's...it was like there was one extra bounce back up at higher speeds on roads with undulations. Maybe they will have done it right with the G82.

Im really liking the ride and compression/rebound with my F93 M8 GC via the KW so Ill be spending the one time lift in cost- circa 500 to 600 bucks.
