Both would be ordered cars so I'll double check, thanks!

I have been told that with new orders, as long as you have an allocation number, you can lock in whatever rate is available. However, if for whatever reason through the course of your build if another incentive comes along that better suits your financial situation, you can lock that in instead.

This is what I have been told by multiple dealers and brookers, but anybody feel free to keep me honest.

I just had my mobile tint guy out to tint my black car and he said it wouldn't look good because of the matrix bubbles. Basically, they would be bright white around the edges.

He said there's nothing he can do to prevent this from happening and didn't want the job because he said it wouldn't look good.

This is news to me...I'm kind of in disbelief

lol what, he didn't want the work then I guess. BMW has had those little matrix dots for years. Go to a different tint guy.

It should be soon. But I saw over on leasehackr forum that the mf and incentives stayed the same for June. They are usually pretty accurate over there

Right on; ya out of all my CUs my next best rate is 1.89% from USAA. So compared to the .9% BMW FS, it actually comes out to a difference of only $1 a month. If that stays the case, I'll probably go with USAA just to maintain the relationship.

BMW FS website says the loan application is good for 60 days, so that should lock in the rate if rates go up after June. What I worry about is, with all of the delays and SOP for the AWDs not starting till late July, if I need to actually make an application when I get my allocation, will the vehicle actually arrive in 60 days?

The 60 day rate lock, is that true even when you are ordering a car? It would be annoying if I need to get another hard pull on my credit because it took longer then 60 days for the car to get built and delivered. Does anyone know if they need to do a hard pull or do they just perform a soft pull to make sure there are no major changes to your credit?

Not sure, but for this reason I always tell them to pull credit only when the car is delivered state side.

But if it's your first BMW this might not be feasible.

Even so, I highly doubt they would run it again even after the 60 day threshold.

Worst case scenario if they do end up running it a 2nd time. Since it's for the same vehicle/loan application , BMF Financial and/or Experian will remove it if requested.

Not my first BMW currently drive an F80. First time with this deliver though. Requesting them to remove it is a good idea if they pull it again.

My dealer says they're still waiting on this to give me a lease quote and that they'll get that over as soon as it comes in.

Will they really do that for two legitimate pulls? I'd never heard of that situation qualifying to remove a pull.

FWIW, an inquiry isn't going to impact your credit enough to worry about it. Your score may change by 1 point, which is really nothing.

Agreed. A hard inquiry should only drop your score by about 5 points or less (if you have excellent credit to begin with) and typically rebound within a couple of months or less.

I've done it before, but not on a car loan. It was a credit card from B of A.

Sorry for the confusion, I should've clarified
in my original post.

Just thought it might work in this scenario as well.

But as others have eluded not really a big deal unless you got like 8+ credit inquiry's.

Took delivery of my ride yesterday….I absolutely love this thing.

I put a whole 50 miles on it today and here's some first impressions compared to my f80.

I feel like it's much smoother than my F80. Granted I've been driving in efficient but just seems not as clunky. The tech is a jump for me. I knew I wouldn't be using gesture control and all that… but when my gf realized it was a thing, now all she is doing is waving her hand in front of the center display haha.

I love the way the Brooklyn grey looks. My build had the orbit grey wheels. I was on the fence about them, but actually think they look pretty decent. I will probably end up replacing them with some black HREs down the line.

But overall I am pretty impressed and still pleased at the decision to make the jump.

Tint goes on next Tuesday. I will try to post some proper pics in the next couple days.

As promised here are a couple pics after having my tint installed. Just ticked 119 miles today haha!

Only warning I will say to anyone who gets theirs with the gloss/piano black exterior accents… you're probably going to have swirls and need them corrected. My side skirts look rough. Also, I would also recommend getting them PPFd. Apparently I must not know how to step out of a car properly and have already clipped it with my flip flops. And 100% know my gf will be slamming them with heels.

On another note, I did have a small issue with getting delivery last Friday. Nothing major but the car arrived late. So I got free delivery, some OEM all weather floor mats, and aN OEM sun shade. Which whatever I will take it.

I did create an IG account for anyone that wants to follow my progress and pics. You can find me @crooklynm3.

If anyone has any questions about the ride or my process, feel free to reach out.

Enjoy guys!
