It doesn’t have to be, they give you sufficient cabling to do either , some people just prefer to put it inside.

The 3rd setting is OEM, yes.

Is this all underneath? Anything behind the wheel? Just a bit confused on the perspective.

I found this thread as well, but it still doesn't make it completely clear.

It looks like both cables are routed through that one grommet, is one of the cables then routed in that heat shielding to the other side?

The grommet that I used is inside the battery compartment on the driver side.

You will need to remove about 10 screws and 2 plastic nuts holding the metal and plastic covers next to the rear driver's wheel. Once you move that out of the way. You will see the grommet from the outside. The hard part is removing the aluminum sheet and plastic cover.

I routed the SST cables following the original valve controller cables.

Is this the correct product?

I'm definitely looking forward to your writeup, still a bit confused on which panels I should be removing for access to the grommet and then how to route it to the other side.

Could you PM with price? Also, wondering if I should order with the 2 remote or not. If somehow I lose a remote, could we order just the remote?

I ordered a couple identical extra remotes from Amazon for like $10, they are easily programmed using the original and I just have them as backups.

Thanks! Found the exact same remote on amazon. Probably won't need it... but you never know

Just be sure the one you order is 12v because they also come in 3v and look the same.

Just got mine today and installed it. Works great. Instruction says the controller unit is waterproof so I mounted it outside with 3M tape.

Installed today in under thirty minutes. Was super easy. 3M’d the box behind the black plastic (as shown in many YouTube videos) where it will be out of the elements. Sounds amazing!

Hey Mike. I placed on order for one of these on 8/21. I got dhl tracking info, but nothing has happened. Are you filling the orders, or will it be coming from Germany ?
