What do you guys personally recommend as far as e50 custom tunes goes for bm3 on this platform and why?? How has your experience with whoever went ?

Search a few in IG and see their builds. Look for the ones that have tunes on bolt on and full builds. Avoid the guys with minimal amount of G80s.

As far as revisions go how many did it take you guys ? And how many miles have you had this tune any hiccups or it’s just more power and violent and still drives smooth as stock?

I did about 10 revisions per tune. Paul starts with several revs to check fueling and baselines for sensors, then several revs to crank up boost and timing.

I asked for “all the sauce” so my tune surged like any Stage tune does, and was a bit violent (as requested). All “Stage” tunes have a surge as boost comes in.

You could also ask Paul for a “linear tune” which would be like GTS++ where power ramps more smoothly. These linear tunes are more controlable on track where precision is needed, and surges are to be avoided.

Paul also has a G80 he tuned for himself... So if the tuner has the same car as you and his runs well (It does) then that's a win/win!!!

I had F80 Paul fix a super shitty custom tune on my old M2 Comp and it was unreal how much better that car ran after he finished tuning it vs the initial custom tune I had. He really is a great tuner!

i think once your build is complete, custom tuning is an excellent choice for more power.

I have used Jordan Tuning to custom-tune my S55 M4. I have not yet decided on who i will choose this time

Still undecided on the specifics, but i want a powerful and reliable daily driver. i will upgrade the turbos of course, but I want to keep it fun with lots of low-end torque.

Next up are the downpipes, midpipe, and axle back.
Last build i went with active autowerke
this time i will try the MAD
