It comes from Germany, what do you expect? The part on closing the engine hood cracks me up. I love "energetically" and how specific of a distance to do it at.

It is very interesting to note that the G80 is 30mm wider than the G82(width without the mirror). There wasn't much of a difference in the F8X

F80 vs F82 = 7mm
G80 vs G82 = 26mm

Actually no, the difference is only for EU models that have the plastic rear fender extension, much wider on the sedan than on the coupe.
US models don't have it and the width is the same between G80 and G82 (74.3 inches without mirrors).

And where are you getting your information that the EU fender liner is part of that measurement? The document clearly states that is is edited to reflect the US market.

On p 97 im seeing m drive professional allows the x drive to be in rwd mode with the traction control on. And without m drive professional u can only use rwd mode with dsc off. Is that how we are to interpret this? If so m drive professional is a must have for the x drive cars imo

Yep that is right, I recall hearing this in one of the BMW M videos around M xDrive.

IMO M Drive Professional is a must have if you are ordering the M xDrive version as it gives you some level of protection against slippage when you want to have fun in RWD mode (although it is no substitute for MDM mode which will only work in "4WD Sport" mode, as MDM does more than just limiting slip, it also applies braking interventions)

Most valuable post of the year. Wish I found it before this weekend.

The brake duct cover should help a ton. You can reach them just by turning the steering full lock while the car is on the ground.

This is amazing!!!! It sounds like you get tc in rwd mode but not esc which is ok because i drive all my rwd cars esc off anyway. My dudes this is great news. I need to add this to my order 100%. 🙌🏻

Here I am on mobile wondering what I'm missing...

For everyone else - the PDF doesn't show up in the Bimmerpost app. Have to use a browser. I was solid confused for a while there.

Anyone recall if this was the same issue on the F80?

This might be a dumb question but if you don't get the parking assistance package does it still have the parking sensors on the front and back or does it just have rear camera?
