I would replace the gaskets as they compact down when installed. Might as well use 4 new nuts while your at it as mentioned above. You don't want to have to over torque them because they have lost their original locking properties. Simple to order if you have time. They are very easy to get at once car is lifted on a QuickJack or similar if you need to. On my son's STI I wouldn't even think about reusing the nuts as it's a real pita to get to. I reused the nuts on my G82 as it takes me 5 minutes to get it up on the QuickJack. I needed the pipe on quickly for an event that ended up being canceled anyway.

Thanks man, so Bro did it clean? Ill have to go see them Thursday.

Whats the gain on sound with the seconds out?

Edit: do you have pic of the piping layout by chance?
I don't, he dropped the car before I had a chance to scope out his craftsmanship.

Volume and tone wise this thing actually has personality now and for me is exactly as rowdy is I like it.

Burbles are sick now, much close to how my m2c was. It's also nice you can turn them all them all the way off if you want with the exhaust button.

The mid range has a lot more beef to it and the top end honestly seems about the same but louder.

The bottom end is savage now especially when you do 1-2-3 short shifts wide open.

I think this is 100% the move to do.

I have the BMS valve controller in the mail so I can close the valves for the highway because there is definitely drone now especially if you let the car shift itself.

400$ altogether for what I'd call perfect sound.
Where did your x pipe go on the 2nd res or 1st resonator location

Just a small question about ur xpipe

This thing is way to quiet.

It's making me miss the sound of the s55.

Update: I pulled both resonators(incredibly light) and had an xpipe put in place and damn...

The sound is 100% how it should have come from factory.

Super smooth, throaty, and has a nice ascending pitch as you move through the RPM's.

It's not loud but adds volume to the entire rev range giving you some much needed sports car sound.

I paid 200$

Here's a few videos my woman took for me.. I'll get a better comprehensive set of videos soon.

The video's with the standing revs should have just been 1 but it cutout for the majority of the midrange.

Notice 0 rasp at top end.

Also the footage is dramatically better with headphones

I'm thinking to buy the manrat OPF deleter cables, but I just need a midpipe already ready to be installed. Did you do it your own or there's something ready to remove the OPF without removing the rear resonator?

Definitely wanna cut my secondary cats and at least 1 resonator. I was thinking about both resonators and secondary cats but I don't want it to be too raspy. Let me know some suggestions

That's my setup. Second cat removed with primary res also removed. Perfect sound.

The final resonator is a resonated x pipe and I get the feeling doing that will make the best possible sound for cheap.

So cat delete and first resonator out.

Do whatever you want but I'll bet it sounds epic with that combo.
So has anyone done 2nd cats & first resonator yet?

What's usual pricing for a secondary cat & 1 res delete, one shop priced me $650 not sure if that's high or not and I'm having a hard time finding someone even to do the job

Seems to vary quite a bit. Some have paid $250 and some have paid $850. It's not a big job and materials are not that expensive but maybe ask on here for a recommended shop near you? I wouldn't want someone butchering my exhaust unless I was confident in their skills. That'd be my primary concern

For a bit more than $650 you could get a Supersprint for about $1100. For the sake of an additional $500 I'd buy off the shelf but if you can get it done under $500 then I can see this route making sense

I made apt with 3 shops around my area for next week. Will report back with the quotes I get. Plan is to take out both resonators and replace with straight and X pipe. Since I am going cat-less with will leave the other cats alone.

Found a shop who is willing to do it, delete both res but it's about 1 1/2 drive from me. Just sent him pics and he gave me an estimated quote. Very reasonable IMO. Without the V band it will be $200 cheaper if I were to get it welded. But he will be using pre-made X. Anyone else used a already fabricated X? Any difference between shop making it vs off the self? It's 304SS.

Thanks man! Yesterday I had my catless DP installed. Shop had a car day before mine with PSI MP, he said mine sounds the same with just catless DP. But I want to try out the res delete and see how it sounds, if it's too raspy will put the stocks back on.
