Excellent pictures thanks OP.
This one is a nice comparison of subtle styling vs the the new ultra aggressive direction. I think the F82 comes out of this very well.

Still looks ugly as sin. The front side by side is laughable.

I suppose if you can't say anything nice about something, don't say anything at all...with that said, the F82 looks stunning as always.

The new one may look more aggressive, but I don't equate aggressive with better.
I'm sorry...seeing these two side by side makes the new model look worse³. -end story- |

Pics with F82 side by side to G80 is apples to oranges. Throw the same mods (tint, massively lowered, splitter, expensive wheels...) on the G82 and then let's talk which looks better. In this thread though the F82 looks great.

This. Everyone does the comparison of the F8x with the older headlights. I’ve maintained that the f8x LCI2 stands up very well against this car in terms of aging.
Put a M4 or m3 cs next to this and I know what I’d choose. I have to see this car in person the g8x but nothing about it in pictures has even remotely made me second guess my decision to go with the m2 cs Again, yes the interior is next level. I think the g8x is going to come down to use case. If you want the newest bmw to daily drive and do touring, that’s the car to get. If you want to clout chase with IG followers and straight line speed, the g8x. If you want to do canyon roads and twisties the f8x platform is incredible. I don’t think this new design is going to age very well and it saddens me that THIS is likely the last Fully ICE m3 we’re going to get. Lastly, that all said it’s clear there are individuals on this board and in general this new design resonates with. I for one am not one of them but if you are, I think it’s going to be a great car to drive and better than the f8x in some ways and not in others as with any new platform Last edited by gemini.m3; 02-28-2021 at 12:47 PM.. |

Agreed when you put these cars side by side and F82 is more aero on the front end than G82.

Thanks Dr Deep
As you say, that's a fairer comparison, and to my eyes it's a draw on the front view (but with G80 looking more modern), and the G80 a clear winner from the rear...much more aggressive from the rear than F80. |

Imo the F8x has the best designs ever made.
But i like the G80 very much, especially in person...Don't know why but in the flesh the car is like a complete different car compared to it's pictures. But I do understand why some people just like the F8x series more and it's totally ok. Everyone how he/she likes it |
