HP = 😴😴😴🥱
Wake me when they've made it lighter and it "only" has 500hp. Guess I will be sleeping forever!

I don't understand why they are making this a hybrid. I mean the V8 turbo can be tuned to 700hp on its own without all the added weight of the electric motor.
Just like with the new C63, either go full electric or stick with the combustion only option. Hybrid doesn't make sense. |

Very predictable setup... with the extra weight of the hybrid system not sure the uptick to 700 hp is a major step up altho it could be more responsive.

The F90 is slightly lighter or around the same as the F10 with the addition of the hardware needed for AWD therefore I am holding hope the same can be done here. Only time will tell |

While weight is a bad thing for the track enthusiast for lap after lap competition, on a street setting for 95% of the consumers, it is not an issue. BMW has a way of hiding the weight on its newest cars for every day consumer use. With adaptive suspension, and tuning, these heavy cars can actually pull over .90 lateral gs, while having a nice luxurious ride also. Realistically in a head-on collision the lighter car is usually at a disadvantage. Hence, many trucks do poorly in fixed barrier crashes, but quite well in accidents with lighter cars.

I don't know man I got endless love for E39 and E60 for their rawness. The F10 was just a sketch ball to drive with that much power to the rear wheels only and the F90 is just perfection. Don't think it needs any hybrid BS. Just adds weight and cost and makes them brag about a HP figure they can easily achieve with just ICE alone.
It'll be too heavy and probably ugly to go with. |

If BMW can keep this car under 4,800 lbs I guess they can call it a win.
The new C63 is hilariously heavy with 4 popper hybrid and that car is smaller. Guess we will see.
