That's a decent idea.. or we can perhaps swap in the anti-dazzle lights coding as instead of the transmission flash? A coupon code works for me too.

kubax86 care to offer us manual guys any options?

I just had this done by Alex @ AlpineMSS. Honestly changes the game imo, especially owning an e92 with an exhaust and having had 2 F8xs before my G80.

In the most aggressive setting, you do get a nice downshift "blip" versus the lazy burble that the car does stock. the least aggressive setting is still very comfortable and smooth. The second setting is probably best for spirited, but still smooth driving. The second setting feels like what the most aggressive setting is like stock.

The car and transmission stock is plenty fast at WOT, but what was most annoying to me (since I'm not driving full go all the time) was the laziness of downshifting when engine braking in normal stop-and-go traffic, which is such a fun part of the e9x and f8x platforms. This helps quench this thirst! Love the extra/faster little "blips" you get when downshifting in the most aggressive setting.

What did you pay? I was quoted $150 for my manual car with antidazzle instead of trans.

Thanks for the review. I have a couple of questions.

1- On their website they say the coding doesn't void the warranty. Has this been verified/confirmed with BMW ?
2- about the downshifts, is the difference mentioned only in D mode, and/or in S mode ? I always use the paddle shifters in sport modes. And I agree with other comments that downshifts (M3 comp stock) are definitely not engaging as with a dual clutch transmission.
3- is the steering stiffer in comfort mode, after the coding ?

1- I’m not certain, but I do know that coding doesn’t cause the BMW red flag. Only after I was flash tuned did they tell me.
2- All shifting seems to be a little snappier, both up and downshifts.
3- Steering. Just a little bit. But noticeable to me.

I don’t think so becuase DME is locked….
I think all of us would love to have CS engine tune.

DME Locked is not a problem, but if ou put CS software you'll end up in a limp mode so unfortunately not possible.

Do any of you have auto rev matching functionality with the tune in sport+? It seems that the gears drop right into a lower gear when braking hard or downshifting with paddles.

I too question this claim. Just because it’s “OEM software”, doesn’t mean it’s not a modification outside of the parameters of a regular M3 or M3C.

I’d be totalling expecting if you had some sort of transmission issue down the road and showed up at your dealer with a CS flashed trans, they’d likely be denying coverage.

What do you mean "auto rev matching" on an automatic?

I think he’s talking about the blip of throttle when downshifting. Similar to heel-toeing a manual. In any event, I’m pretty sure my car still does it with the CS flash.

It feels like more of a clutch dump as it downshift and not properly rev matching if you was driving a manual .

My bad, I was talking about the throttle blip so it's smoother. I'm not used to the clutch dump feeling but I'm on a g80 comp non-xdrive.

Okay, so I'm not the only one experiencing this. I assume it's for folks with the CSL flash? It's less prominent with sport and comfort but with sport+ it's aggressive lol.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who’s experienced this, lol. Yes, the comfort is decent. Occasionally, you’ll notice it when shifting from 3-2 and 2-1 in Auto mode. It’s not disruptive, but it’s definitely more noticeable than stock. The same observation applies to the sport mode. I have a RWD comp.
