When installing the wireless charger #84105A3E813 I noticed it has a connector for an antenna. There was no wire in my car to connect to it. Also I saw in Bimmercode it defaults to setting that antenna compensation (cant remember the wording) to Activ. So far its working fine though so I assume no need to connect that or disable the option.

Pull cup holders rubber bottoms out. Look for the tabs at the backside (closest to shifter) and pull them out.

Remove the screws holding the cup holder.
The cig power port is a BITCH to remove. At least mine was. I keep that wire connected and moved the cup holder to the side. There is some wire slack to do so.

Now look at the tray. In the OPs pics where he has the tray lifted. You will see two white dots on his tabs. Those are the tabs you touch. They are facing down. Pry them towards you while pushing the tray from UNDER it with your fingers. The underside of the tray is hollow in the middle of the tray.

Pry the tabs and push up on the tray. Once you get one side the other will follow.

This was the key I needed - much thanks to BIGW0RM for getting back to me so quick.

Coded the device in wireless tray reminder as well. Alls working!

You are most welcome. Be sure to toggle the reminder on in idrive. I coded mine and had no clue I had to toggle it on. I just assumed it coded it on. It only codes in the option for a reminder which you activate in idrive.

Weird I forgot to toggle it on (read that step too!) and it reminded me as I was exiting the car

Maybe I didn't - is it anymore than a small chime and a pop up on the bottom of the dash saying mobile device in wireless charging tray? Not being sarcastic just kinda expected more.

No that's it.

What more of a warning do you want? Vibration in the seat or something?

Does this actually charge the phone adequately without causing overheat issues for the phone?

Well, the one that comes built into the car certainly doesn't so I assume this would be more of the same. The whole thing needs to be redesigned.

Has anyone done this in a 6MT MY23 with iD8 yet? If so, what's the part number since it seems to be in a different location from automatics.

I ordered my MY23 with wireless charging option but doesn't have this. What?? Mine is just a deep pocket that won't even fit my phone.

Can someone help confirm if they should come with the vehicle if it's an added option?

I have a 2023 ID8 and I didn’t buy this option but I’m my tray it has the wireless charging icon. Does that mean I still need to buy the new part or is it coded off?

What does your window sticker say? If you have wireless charging, it'll show it there.

I do not know if it was the coding that allowed me to repair my digital key OR if it was disabling the cars wifi and carplay.

So if any of you loose the ability to re pair your iphone as the digital key. Try disabling the cars wifi and carplay. And or do the coding so the car will tell you that youve left your iphone on the charger.
I having the same issue now. Upgraded my iphone but now it won't pair with the new phone.
