Bowers & Wilkins audio issue

About a month ago, i allowed my friend to use my BimmerCode app to code in Bowers & Wilkins audio on his 2023 BMW M4 G83. He texted me today saying the audio is messed up and it keeps making a so called “buzzing” sound. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Is there a way to revert the Bowers & Wilkins sound system to the default one without a backup?

Does he actually have that system in his car? Have him unplug power to the amp and other audio equipment in the trunk and plug them back in. If the sound is a loud static coming out of the speakers, this is usually the issue. Cutting complete power by disconnecting the battery works too.

If you can code B&O into the HK RAM/Booster, then you can code it back to HK.

I had this issue in my 22 m3 and I couldn't code it back either. I had a buzzing sound also but when I took it to dealership for oil change, I had it coded back. No more buzzing sound

Yes you can code it back.

I've had it on over 2 months, no buzzing sound.

I had it coded on my G82 M4 (iD7) for 2 years with no problems. Coded it onto my new G80 CS yeaterday (iD8) and seems fine also

BMW’s use Bowers & Wilkins(BW) not Bang & Olufsen(BO). I just wanted to clarify 😉

Ive posted this before. But a member on this forum who happens to do custom car sound competitions tested this bimmer code tweak year or so ago and its test rating was worse that stock. So while it might "sound" better to some, its tested sound score was less than how it came stock.

I still prefer the B&W Concert setting with intensity setting increased by 1to the stock HK audio output
